    Yeah… I'm not trading for him unless he puts Minny in a corner and says "I'll only accept a trade to Chicago" and KD has ALL of the leverage. Otherwise, I'll take my chances on signing him in the offseason.

    Do not become the NYR. One superstar will not advance the rebuild if you have to dismantle what you’ve already put in place over the last three years. Even with McDavid and Draistel the Oilers don’t win it. Even with Matthews , Nylander and Marner the Leafs couldn’t do it. There are way too many examples which prove you can’t succeed without a solid foundation. What the hell, even the Wild couldn’t do it with Kaprisov on the squad. There only way the Hawks should even think about this guy should be free agency, and at the numbers being talked about, that would be just plain stupid.

    Screw that right dead in the arse. Not moving premier assets for the right to massively overpay a winger who averages about 60 games per year. This would be Seth Jones v2.0 (different position obviously) in that making a terrible move to try and "jump start" a rebuild. Stay the course, and potentially talk to his agent in the off-season if KK actually makes it to UFA.
