  1. I'm excited for the season! How can these kids not be fired up to share ice time with Sid, Geno, Rust, Rakell, Tanger, and Karlsson? That should push them to give it everything they’ve got to be part of this legacy 🤘🤘

  2. Hey Dk, thanks for the attention to my statement/question in today's episode. I agree the kids have to beat out the vets. I guess as part of my point, "what are we even doing here" I should have mentioned that the new coaching staff is set up for development. I just think it contradicts those signings if players at the end of their careers with little left to give/gain are in the line up over ready prospects that would benefit from these coaches.

  3. My specific push back on Hallander is that he is on a one way contract. If he doesn’t beat Acciari/Heinen/Hayes out for a spot, he hits waivers or needs to be traded. Which of the 31 other teams wouldn’t take a chance on the SHL forward of the year on a league minimum contract? I agree that these younger guys have to earn it but this isn’t a Sullivan team anymore. I don’t believe that Dubas will risk losing Hallander for nothing just because Acciari blocks more shots when the Pens coaching staff was crafted specifically to extract as much potential from young players as possible.

  4. That's the thing I always hated about in-season trades. We may have had a young gun ready to roll, but the money got to play to justify the trade. I may be wrong. Maybe we didn't have anyone ready. It's always a crap shoot. I may be influenced by seeing guys early in the season becoming trade-bait after being sent down.
