  1. It only would have worked if the A’s came, dropping an expansion team wouldn’t do it! Plus Giants would block it, but luckily I don’t have to worry, I no longer care about MLB, and never cared about the Giants. Fisher fucked everything.

  2. This is going to be a one team MLB/NFL area for the rest of our lives. People just have to accept that.

  3. Are we now seriously going to pretend San Jose isn't in the same region as San Francisco and Oakland? (referring to previous BB video).
I'm not opposed–I would love to see San Jose get an MLB team.
I'm just saying… If MLB won't do 'multiples' in the same region–why would they change for San Jose?
(Obviously Vegas is in the same region as Phoenix, Los Angeles, Anaheim and San Diego–so maybe that thing–isn't really a thing anyway)

  4. No. Too close to San Francisco.

Likewise, no team in Orlando if the Rays stay in Tampa and no team in Austin if San Antonio gets one.

  5. If San Jose or a multi billionare can come up with 2 billion dollars in funding for a ballpark, I say let them have at it. But the SF Giants owner may object to it.

  6. You can't compare the Bay Area to NY/LA/Chicago. They are all MUCH larger. Similar-sized markets like BOS/PHI/DAL only have one team each. The Giants NEED the whole Bay Area to compete with the Dodgers' enormous resources, and that's why they cooperated to get the A's out of the Bay Area.

  7. And Brodie, you just said on a video a few weeks ago that how the MLB would never allow the BAL/WAS situation to happen again. But are you saying that the Bay Area should be the exception? I love what you do for the most part, but I gotta question this one.

  8. The SF Giants pulled a Judas against the A's when they voted 'yes' for relocation. Remember, they could have been the Tampa Bay Giants but the A's made a concession for them. These @ssh@ts don't care about baseball. They only care about themselves. And you're right, Brodie. This idea of territory is arbitrary.

  9. Would the people support the team…yes…but there would be no way MLB would get the public tax dollars it loves when building a new stadium…

  10. Yes … and actually the A's should be in San Jose today. By the way, has anyone noticed that the A's have lower attendance in Sacramento this year, 9K per game, than in Oakland last year, 11K per game?

  11. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I seem to remember the closest the A’s ever got to a new ballpark was in San Jose. And the Giants vetoed it. Am I wrong in this?

  12. Warriors were almost permanently here, Giants wanted to be here in the 90s A's wanted to be here, Niners got as close as they could. It probably would have worked but Giants/MLB got in way. I can't see another team being approved to be here. San Jose despite what comments say is a hot bed. SJ realistically could have been one of few markets supporting all five leagues. Yes I included MLS

  13. A mega city should have two sports teams and last time I checked there’s only one in this country so the answer is no.

  14. It’s where the Athletic’s should have moved to over Las Vegas and at the same time told the Giants to get bent.
