Katz needs to open up his wallet for this extension.
I too believe he will sign an extension. That said, he has to know if he's not signed by the deadline, the Oilers are going to have to trade to get assets.
I saw that interview, same here I believe he will sign but short term , but the feeling and I hate to say he will or wants to play elsewhere afterwards. Hope I’m wrong and Let’s hope for a 6 to 8 year deal .
Why do you keep telling yourself that he will stay even if he signs 4 years and under it’s like a slap in the face

I'm starting to get worried personally. If there is no extension when the season starts the team will have to consider what assets they could get for him in a trade.
