  1. Two years ago they earned 109 points.
Last year they earned 90 points.

Even if they just split the difference they will be have 99 points and they will make the playoffs. Getting rid of the Miller Drama and having just half as many injuries as last year will get them past 100 points and into third place.

  2. I agree with Dangle with Demko's game limits. I want him to play only every other game for at least the first few months of the year. Maybe increase that to 60% after the trade deadline to get him ready for the playoffs. Also, NEVER play him in back-to-back games. That would be nuts.

  3. 10:00 … at the end of last season PIUS SUTER was the Canucks number one centre. This is not a joke. When EP40 was injured at the end of the season, it was Pius Suter who had to take over as number 1. He will do great with St. Louis and that contract will be a steal. The only reason he's not with the Canucks is he was expected to make $5.5 million or more. If they knew he would only get $4.125 million, they would have signed him.

  4. They’re not as good as they were two seasons ago but they are certainly not as bad as they were last season.

Their strength is in goal and on the blue line. Hopefully that will lead to better offence…which is likely the team’s biggest concern.

And I agree with Jesse: Demko needs to be the starter day one.

Thanks for the video and for the optimism! 👊

  5. Boeser said petey was the one who called him and asked him to come back to the Canucks for the long term…the front office was stunned he had done it…but they were having a hard time hiding how pleased they were to resign him that price and term…EP40 seems to be on a different mission than last few years and his defensive skills were lacking but now he’s just got to get scoring again.

  6. Entire team dealt with insane injuries from literal cancer (no I’m not talking about JT miller but he is as well) to an injury nobody has ever had with demko’s knee lol. I’m hopelessly optimistic but with this d-core and goalie tandem this team is a lock for the playoffs if most stay healthy and PETEY returns to form which he most likely will because he’s not dealing with tendinitis and other nagging injuries anymore 🙏🙏🙏

  7. Demko's new contract is an anchor and a HUGE mistake. They could have had a cheap and effective tandem of Lankanen and Silovs but chose to spend 8.5m on a guy who hasnt played a full season in 4 years. So bloody dumb. Mark my words, that contract is goong to screw them

  8. As a Canucks fan Im thankful there was an apology for adam in this video, that is always needed. Nice to see Steve has some faith.

  9. Raty would have to move up to top 6 C. He has been marinating in the minors, but this is his year. He can't be sent back down and looked great last year in the AHL

  10. I have no clue WHAT people in vancouver are saying that Demko can play 50 games this year. He should be limited to 35 so he's healthy for playoffs. I agree with Steve
