Fun Fact: Chansey was almost the face of the franchise, but instead Pikachu was chosen to be the flagship Pokemon. Perhaps Chansey's cuteness was a factor. EDIT: I looked it up, actually it was Clefairy before Pikachu, not Chansey.

Pikachu is by far my favorite Pokémon; I think Squirtle is the cutest. I definitely don’t like the bugs or spider Pokémon (shudder), and Mewtwo, Abra, Kadabra, and Alakazam are pretty scary.
Pokémon originally came out the year I turned 30, and I got interested in the anime when my nephew was 6 and a fan. My oldest came when the nephew was 6, and my youngest is 4 1/3 years younger; both of my boys became fans. Besides the anime and the games, they also got into the card games. I dunno if they got into PokémonGo, but I know the youngest likes Mystery Dungeon (he’s 22 now).
My bestie, a one-time coworker until the pandemic, is 30 and loves Pokémon Go, though I think she’s cooled off on it now…
While the anime is still my favorite part of the franchise, part of the reason I got a Switch was to play the games. And I have a plush Pikachu that when you grab his hand, vibrates and says his name.
More good reason to like Brodie and Brodie Jr! Woohoo!

I like Oddish. Been a Pokemon fan since 2000.
First Pokemon was Charmander on Pokemon Red, but my favorite had been Cyndaquil when I got Silver before it got replaced by Glameow when I got Diamond.
