Ruff a donné une mise à jour des blessures sur Noah Ostlund, Owen Power, Jordan Greenway, Jiri Kulich et Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen. Il a également parlé de ce qu’il recherchait de Ryan Johnson, Ryan McLeod et Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen jusqu’à la fin du camp et dans la saison régulière. Ruff a donné une mise à jour sur ses espoirs pour le type de saison que Jack Quinn aura et a prévisualisé les deux derniers matchs de pré-saison.     ruff, swiss cheese georgiev, and AHLer goon geertsen have to go before we can make the playoffs, difficult to believe but ruff sent our best goaltender to Rochester and then gets a two year deal for a career AHLer, man it hurts right now to be a Sabres Fanaticus
