I managed to stay up for like 5 mins of this game and then went to bed
Kings just made terrible passes all night, and kept flubbing. Had some great chances late but too little too late. The 5 forward PP also seems kind of like a desperation move sorta thing, but if it ends up working long term, then sure. Not quite worried yet, but, never fun to lose opening night like this.

I'm in bed by 12pm EST so if you publish anything after that I listen/watch it the following morning. Putting them in one video or three doesn't matter, though you'll get three views out of me if you post three.
Trivia answer: While Bruce Dickinson is the lead singer of Iron Maiden, another person named Bruce Dickinson was a mid-level manager at Columbia Records whose name appears on a Blue Öyster Cult reissue CD and a "greatest hits" compilation as the "reissue producer". SNL apparently had one of those versions, because the actual producer of the song (listed on the original song and record release) was David Lucas.
From west coast I also don't understand triple header on a weekday. I didn't see the 1st game because it was the middle of the afternoon and still working.
That and bad teams playing is a head scratcher
Definite undersell of the sick move Makar pulled to create that 3rd goal. Maybe it’s just because we expect that kind of thing from him by this point, but no other defenseman makes that play.
God, those jerseys are ugly. Bring back the coat of arms and purple. Also I thought we were done with the chrome domes, yuck. Black and grey are the worst for jerseys.
I really like the new Kings jerseys! And the Iron Maiden tie-in just makes it even better. I caught Maiden twice a couple of months ago, and Bruce sounded insanely good. Tonight was far from his best performance (he also sang the anthem before a Steelers game and sounded similar there). Not sure what it is about the anthem, but when performing with Maiden or his solo stuff he is absolutely out of this world.
Not a kings fan, but thought the new sweater was all right until I saw someone refer to it as a “bedazzled mushroom”. Then I couldn’t not see that

That does not translate to an anthem. I've seen Maiden a dozen times, so I will give the benefit of the doubt. This is not his specialty. 🙂
I live in the mountain timezone. I thought it was weird that the game was still on at 11 20ish my time. On the coast it's not as bad cause y'all are an hour behind us. But I thought it was still weird even for a mountain timezone.

Triple Headers wouldn’t be too bad if ESPN didn’t spend +20 mins on post game rather than going to the next one….can always include some post-game dialogue at the 1st intermission of the next game.

Could of easily of been a wedgewood shut out if mackinnon didn’t take it upon himself to do something about Clarkes cross checks to lehkonnen into the boards, which were not seen by officials. He also got another cross check in on him afterwards which he did receive 2 mins for

Blackhawks fan in east time zone. I also follow all 32 teams and try to watch them all. I fell asleep for a couple minutes during the Rangers game, and had to go to bed after the first period of the Kings-Avs game. Would’ve been ok with a 9:30 start
I live in Denver and I fell asleep during the second intermission. Late games suck!
