Disgusting effort last night! I think it would be wiser to send up the AHL guys that were used in the preseason! Their heart was admirable. Let the rebuild begin!
Upper body means head. Leafs are a joke when it comes to injuries.
A coach who's system doesn't create offence nor as a player and farthest thing from it. Shouldn't be directing a powerplay. This from guy who thinks less skilled players pick up the offence while skilled players kill penalties. Someone should call him out publicly and ask for reasoning! Make him aware and Leafs management that it doesn't make sense.

It shouldn't matter who makes what their status or their tenure ! If those who have been anointed with super star status or of a past reputation doesn't or shouldn't give them more leeway than a bottom 6 player !!

A mental thing? C'mon man, the first 2 second periods this year have been dogshit and a lot of the 2nd periods last year were the same, absolute dogshit. You are the coach, you are supposed to fix the problem. Maybe something in the system that you deploy is wrong and is causing the team to constantly get caved in during 2nd periods of games. It happened all last year and it's started already again the first 2 games. The brand of hockey is garbage, constantly getting outshot and hemmed in your own end every game is not a great strategy. Maybe your playstyle isn't good. Change it.
