Shut up, Helen
Not worried. We saw a glimpse of their game in the beginning and if they can get to where they play their game consistently, we will be sitting pretty by the end of the year. It'll come together for sure.
Give it up for 100 years red wings fans!!!! How fitting that your pathetic team's playoff drought reaches 10 years this season! Give it up for another 20 with yzerman at the helm!!!
I'm hopeful that the youthful players can learn and turn this around, but we need to stop hearing players say "Oh its just 1 loss out of 82."
Remember how we were only 1 or 2 games away from the playoffs spot? Oh right. The players said "ahhhh well….we had some games that we really should have won and those came back to bite us."
So it's not just 1 game of 82. Every loss can be the difference between making it or not.
Getting embarrassed Opening Night isn’t fun for anyone. Show us how you respond by taking it out on Toronto, and getting back at Montreal when you play them again
Last night's debacle was actually very telling. Larkin made a fool of himself by acting like he won the cup, then no one rallied around him. just more proof he's not a leader or captain material at all
One game is nothing, we got this.
Gotta love helene's gotcha questions
Love that Gibby is being taken care of by the GOALIE coach. I love that there is that line in the sand and its being handled one on one.
Always love Copp"s media interviews. He is honest and hell stick it to the reporters sometimes.
Looking forward to JVR in the line up. Who sits once he is in? Soderblom?
Hamonic, needs to sit
Scene of the crime comment by Todd, priceless.
1:53 "We've preached being aggressive and we ended up being careless last night" Is actually good to hear that this is the mindset in the room. No more excuses
I know it wouldn't be long term, but Copp should be captain right now. He's being accountable but also staying confident. I fact-checked him. The 2017-18 Jets did in fact lay an egg in their home opener (lost 7-2), then finished with 114 points. Good experience for him to relay to the younger guys.
Waive Hamonic, put JBD in. Chiarot and JBD bottom pair Johansson and ASP 2nd pair, Edvinsson seider first pair. Dress bergie and have him play desperate hockey to save his career.
Helen you are part of the problem.
Who is that girl that asks those crappy leading questions man geez
Some of the veterans need to step it up or step aside. There’s only a couple of true NHLer’s on this team and you need more than a couple to win in this league.
todd: “there was a lot of evidence, too much evidence, they’re all guilty” 😂
be nice if we had a checking line to change the momentum. been years. a lot of cute nice players though. how bout that big goalie debut huh? pathetic.
Love Copp's honesty. He's forthright & genuine, never uses the boring old sound bytes that so many others do. So many others "respond to" the questions. He answers them.
Copp should be healthy scratched. Our goalies need to stop the puck.
Oh to be in that meeting
We better re sign copp
God damn Todd is a phenomenal leader and coach
The way he holds players accountable and also doesn’t blame those who don’t amazing 👏👏👏👏👏👏
This will probably be a disaster season. Everytime we lose Larkin acts like his family dog just died.
Just cancelled my FanDuel subscription… I won't be watching this trash all season. Good Luck.
When enough is enough ? The leader in this room is ? Next two games lets see who leads…
Love Copps responses, not gonna lie
This team is picked by most of the hockey experts not to be a playoff team this year, so why all the optimism? They are what they are! Three rookies in the lineup are not going to change that. Gibson is a good goalkeeper, but his best years are behind him. If they finish in 6th in the Atlantic, call it a success. Any position above that is a bonus. If they finish below 6th position, then the Yzerplan should be over.
Oh the team had a meeting to discuss assignments and strategies that the players have been told about since peewee? Problem solved.
Copp and the other veterans are such candy ass bitches, the locker room is soft. There is no excuse to get paid tens of thousands of dollars to be a royal fuck up.
This team just full of wussies
Get chariot off of that 1st pair ASAP.
They need a system on how to defend. Does Tod work on this?
Helen would have made a great nurse, “how scared are you that your cancer will end your life?”
Good luck boys
Not going to overanalyze yet
Too much distraction last night and those gloves 🥴 Love the socks and sweater tho
Fresh ice tomorrow Rookies been looking awesome Axel's and a stick
Finnies his own line and run over somebody bransegg

It’s hilarious seeing all social media posts of everyone thinking season will be exact same as last season off of one game. They dominated the first 10 min of the game they will fix the mistakes with a full year under Todd we will be a WC this year.
Never would have thought back in like 2012 that JVR and Patty Kane would be on the Red Wings together one day lol
The get into your game easy Feeling strong
The Skate The vision The execute
And The don't let off
Copp should have the “A”, we have a good record when he is and he isn’t like the rest of the dead sole veterans.
McLellan's biggest challange is to shift this team's focus from trying to not lose to try winning. Detroit has done a terrific job of drafting players with the right attitude and work ethic, but if they get fostered into a losing culture it might all be for nothing. It's essential to let them play to their strengths. Let ASP take some risks in the o-zone, let MBN be too aggressive on the forecheck at times etc. Mistakes are a part of the learning process, and it's up to the veterans with years of experience to predict and clean it up. What we can't have is veterans being the ones who make these mistakes.
Either Coach is going to get this team finally tough and playing good hockey OR we need to really shake things up and clear out some of the softness that's built up in that locker room. And, unfortunately, I think Larkin is who you ship out first.
Fire hammonic into the sun
Can the media chill out a bit? Did they think we were gonna go 82-0? I mean cmon
