Whether if its a clean hit its still interference and should have had a penalty on play.
As a Canucks fan myself, I think people are overreacting a bit because…well…Its Tom Wilson, but it that was any other player people wouldve probably said its a clean hit, its just unfortunate how it turned out and I hope he gets well soon, but that's just how hockey goes, Chytil can never catch a break it seems

That was a clean hit. Point of contact was shoulder to chest. Tom Wilson has always had questionable hits in his career, but this is not one of them. The only punishment I can see from this is a penalty for interference because it was a little late.

I am sympathetic to Chytil as a Ranger fan and no fan of Wilson’s but this hit is pretty clean. A little late, maybe, borderline. No head contact. For me this only barely moves the needle on the dirty-hit-o-meter.
It was clearly dirty. The timing was slightly off, but the fact that he’s skating in a way that would allow him to easily avoid contact here tells us more than enough. He was only going for Chytil, not the puck. Even his eyes are only on Chytil.

This wasn`t a hit – it was a disgusting attempt to seriously injure the opponent! Wilson is a careless thug and I hope, that sooner or later he will pay for his deplorable behaviour!
Maybe a 2 minute interference. Maybe. Nothing dirtier than that about this hit. Chytil needs to look where he's going.

Tom Wilson is a beast, and a helluva a great all-around hockey player. Some say he shouldn't have targeted Chytil considering Chytil's injury history – but it's not Wilson's responsibility to adjust the contact based on the player he's hitting. It's not like Chytil came back from a broken leg injury and Wilson deliberately slashed him in that same leg. Wilson did not hit the head to injure the concussion-susceptible Chytil. However, most are saying this hit was a "tad" late. Well what are we saying here? Are we measuring time in "tads" now, 1 tad, 2 tads, 3 tads? I don't care if it was a tad late or a full minute late, late is late. That makes it at least an interference penalty, then up to ref's discretion to make it a major or not. And at the risk of being repetitive, for those saying it was a tad late, thanks, you're making my argument exactly – late..is..late.
