Great take….I saw a lot of Silovs during Canucks playoff run…he does give up big rebounds. The interesting thing for Jarry, and this will be the thing for him in his career I think, can he actually play well in the second half of the season win goaltending has more scrutiny on it as games become more meaningful, including playoff games. His stats for first half of the season is amongst the best in the league…second half…amongst the worst
DK you made a great observation or take whatever you call it…Karlsson and Crosby's effectiveness in getting the puck to 'high scoring' areas…..this is my issue with Dubas and his roster construction. As an analytics guy this is information he ought to know…in fact he ought to know information like this about all his players…and yet….there is ZERO pursuit, now or more importantly during the first year of his tenure when he was 'going for it' to acquire players to suit the players and their strengths…..I hear what you said which is great observation and I'm reminded of what ailed his teams in Toronto….a failure to round out that roster with the players the team needed to win….just my observation

DK, I know you’re not much for the rumors but hear me out here. The Oilers are in a pickle, McDavid has them by the “pucks”, and they know they need to win now. I know for a fact they are quite unhappy with Stuart Skinner’s goaltending and ESPECIALLY unhappy with Darnell Nurse’s contract. The Pens have a gluttony at goaltending, need help on the left defense, and have some cap space to take on big contracts. Do you think it’s possibly, nay likely that they would be willing to drastically overpay in draft capital for a guy like Jarry?

DK – I'll offer a different perspective on goaltending. As has been talked about with handling the young players like a pitchers rotation, why can't goalies be treated the same? I'm aware that's not how it's traditionally been doing, but if you have two goalies who can share the load and do it successfully, why not? I'd argue it could be done in the playoffs as well.
