I agree with everything you say, HOWEVER…..when the playoffs roll around and we need him the most…WHERE HAS HE BEEN!!!!!! I'm a die hard Rangers fan and have bled blue for 60 and counting, time to bring in some players with balls and grit, its not always about how cute your plays look on the highlight reels, all being said and done I'd trade Panarin in a heartbeat for someone with a physical edge and most importantly produces in the playoffs….WHEN IT MATTERS!!!!!

Cmon guys, it’s only the first week of the season!! Give them all some time to get going but especially Panarin! He’s never disappointed us yet!!
Again no word on Shearey. Release the Sheary files we want to see what dirt Sheary has on Drury.
How you think Panarin feels about having to play on same line as a guy who couldn't make NHL last season as a 32 yearold.
Also Panarin is likely drinking heavily all summer from what is going on in Russia and Ukraine.
Drury has lost the respect of all his players, they won't be taking any discounts and I doubt very much Panarin is going to waive his no trade unless he really wants to go somewhere.
I think Bread and Mika have been uncooperative with several coaches, fighting against the North-South game the coaches have been working towards.
Panarin will be 35 yrs old next year when a new contract is needed. He enters a period where athletic skills can and will diminish. He is also a small player and hasn't exactly been dominant in the playoffs. iMO, Panarin is no longer worth big money long term. Better to trade a player one year too early than one year too late.
If Panarin is not producing…..very simple…..make him a daily scratch until he demands a trade. I have been saying that Mika needs a change as well.
or trade him and get picks in return. No extension. If he wants a contract, it starts on the ice by Panarin.
I think a guy like Panarin has pride in himself. I’m sure he’s not 100%. Give it another week or 5 games. If he dogs it, no team is going to pay a big price for him at 34.
He is not checked out. He has a lower and upper body injury he is playing through. He has set up many players for Goals. Like the 2 on 1 Mika shot directly into the low pad of C. Lingeren. Also 5 games guys. Come on. When he gets a hat trick in 2 weeks will he be checked out then? Lol
If he doesn’t want to be here then get him out
