Bbs, Otter, Jobro, for depth, then adding Perreault in the top 6 could easily tighten up the synergy this team needs. Laff could be a great trade chip for later and leverage the fact that NY doesn’t do well on the development side. Look at how great kakko, chytil, and even k miller are doing in their new teams. Alexis deserves a chance to reveal his potential and it certainly does not show with his current linemates.
drurys team doesn’t look good period, Sullivan can’t win with a bunch of misfits. I missed Kreider, Kakko, Buchnevich,,Zucarrelo, Trouba, Lindgren,Andrew Copp, n yes Gustafson, Sullivan made a mistake sending Bret Berard down. They are a .500 team or less. They don’t have the horses and they are going to burn out the top players. Shesty won’t last.
Laf is a joke and it's more of a joke that GM of the Century Drury decided to lock him up for years to come. He should have seen the writing on the wall after 23 and gotten him out of here at the top of his market value.
Laf is slow, has an average shot and is an invisible player almost every single game. Worst part of it is he seems totally ok with being far below NHL top 6 caliber. Collecting a pay check!
Laf 13 is a bust n they gave him 7 million they hand him a top 6 spot he had worked for nothing back checking is a four letter word to him.
They have two 4th lines with no 3rd line

I don't agree with the notion that "It's really everybody". No – some guys are playing very well. 4th line is excelling. Schneider making plays, dealing out hits. Goalies are superb.
Question now is whether Coach Sullivan will do what Coach Lav would not – and make changes before the season slips away. Call ups? A new kids line? Sit a couple of nonperformers?

As a NJD fan, this pleases me BUT I get the frustration. Seems NYR need to embrace a full rebuild. They have some nice pieces but each one seems it goes to a different puzzle. NJ had that issue and to some degree is still dealing with it.
Laff was slow on the coverage on the lost faceoff that led to the first goal. The second goal, he did not give enough effort to get the puck in deep, it instead came back our way and ended up in the net. Get him out of here , here is a bust. I don't care if we get anything back, he is a waste of cap space.

Al "cement skates" Lafreniere is a below average nhl player who plays with zero intensity. He had one brief playoff run and got his contract and now skates around like its a beer league.

Laf sucks and has always been a lousy NHL’er. I don’t care what the advance analytics say: he’s a 1/2 to full second behind the play all the time. Had high hopes for him and really wanted him to be a point per game kinda guy. He’s underwhelming and underperforming relative to his pedigree. Also he’s lazy and has brutal skating skills.
