No keep going for the 14th overall pick. You'll get a good player eventually
Priority #1 – Find some D men.
Priority #2 – Find some D men.
Priority #3 – Find some D men.
Rhett, that's why you trade for a young player AND a pick
Mckenna doesn't seem to be generational in college but surrounding him with the prospect pool we already have could build into a very consistent contender.
But something tells me this organization will screw it up somehow
Gavin no fucks for Mckenna.
mckenna sweepstake's lol
a 170 pound winger with zero intensity or compete isn't going 1st overall 😂😂😂
Careful what you wish for. McKenna has a toxic record, bad mouthing coaches, abandoning the WHL. You may get him, but you won’t want to keep him.
Kadri and Colman probably gone.
I would add weeger as well.
Trade Dustin wolf to edmonton. We get what we need u get what u need. And both oilers and edmonton fans win
Can’t wait to hear how dumpster diving for McKenna is NOTHING like bouncing off the bottom for McD
Watching these three ‘uh huh’ their way through this lesson from Noodles that they’ve been mocking the Oil for years about is so satisfying.
You guys are in year 3 of the decade of darkness. Buckle up.
The Flames Would Be Better Off Moving Rasmus, Kadri, Weegar, and Coleman At The Deadline So They Can Start The Full On Rebuild 🎯
As A Rangers Fan, I Feel Your Pain 💯. I Want Laffy, 🍞, Mika, and Soucy Traded ASAP 😉. We Basically Have To Tear It Down To The Studs 👀
I Trust Conroy More Than Drury 😎
How do you get McKenna? Play your fucking rookies it’s not rocket science you’ve got a 19-year-old in the ahl lighting it up that should be in the NHL. Let the rookies fucking play.
Add me to the fucking snow here this is bad to watch
No Trade for the pic let the 19 kid play
Omfg
Time omg
when khadri is on your top line you know your fucked!
Everyone is traceable except Huberdeau.
Tanking doesn’t guarantee anything. The way those silly bingo balls lottery system works you have no idea what’ll happen. Buffalo tried there damn hardest to get McDavid and they still haven’t shaken off that dark cloud.
Ha, ha ha, Haaaaaaaaa 😂
Mission McKenna
Calgary has never had 1st overall pick. The time is now
Its time you join the Oilers
man I hope this franchise actually listens to the fans and community… we are always going to be in the middle if we don’t change anything and those changes start with this year that mckenna kid is a priority and I hope we fully embrace the tank for the long term gain
Rhett is right once again. He doesn’t say much but when he does, he’s almost always right. When you trade your vet, take the picks, not prospects. It almost always never works out. The only exception was Suzuki. And that was because both gms were stupid. Bergevin wanted Cody Glass as the prospect for Max Pacioretty but the Vegas gm was dumber and refused and instead offered Suzuki. That was the case of two GMs being stupid and luckily for Montreal, they got a superstar in Suzuki
Conroy needs to make an official announcement that we are committed to the re-build. It's gonna be painful but necessary in the long run.
I’m all for Mission for McKenna but…it’s a lottery, it’s the Flames like what’s the discussion if we are a lottery team and again because it’s the Flames we lose the lottery…
Maybe Rhett should have a shower and speak to someone about why he’s so angry for a guy who has been over his skis his entire career. How can he criticize anyone?
Rhett is a massive clown…..have another drink you obvious alcoholic.
Either way I would Trade the pick, but only if I could get something good in return. Gavin McKenna isn't that attractive to me as a pick. Not that he's not a good player overall, that's not the issue. The issue is that he plays the wing. He's not a young potential number 1 centre. And those are much more valuable overall & rare/ few & far between. And also, a true legitimate number 1 centre? Is actually at the top of the list for things that the Calgary Flames need right now. If I was GM Craig Controy? Assuming the Flames even get the 1st overall pick in next years draft? I'd trade it for Michael Misa on the Sharks. And probably you'd have to also give them something else too. Like an NHL ready player/ asset. Another Prospect, or another pick in the Draft. Misa is that good.
Misa is EXACTLY what the Calgary Flames need down the middle. Not Gavin McKenna because he will only play the wing & his development will be further stunted playing on a Calgary Team that already doesn't have a true number 1 centre on the roster or even waiting in the winds to start with. Misa is a few months older but honestly who cares? Kadri, Backlund, & Coleman are all getting older & will retire before you know it. Frost should be the #2 centre next year. And Reschny will still need some time to develop before he get's into a position like that. No Doubt Reschny will play some games next year, but he's still at least 2 or 3 years away from being a true NHL regular/ NHL ready. By then? Hopefully Misa & Reschny make a good 1-2 punch for Calgary down the middle, with Gridin, & maybe some other prospects? Continuing to develop to give them better depth along the wings. They need to be thinking of guys like Kadri, & Coleman as bottom six centres. Not top 6 ones. Just given their ages & being past their prime. Or even just trade them outright or buyout their contracts. This is what I would do if I was GM of the Calgary Flames.
