I think the Hawks are going to be on the wrong side of lopsided games like last night more often than not this year. I'm interested to see how they handle a 3 game losing streak. This is just year one of the road back. But I love the compete level. I think we're a couple years away from the playoffs. I just want them to play hard and stick up for each other at this point

So far this season is everything I hoped for. Nazar, Bedatd, and Turbo getting off to a fast start. Mikheyev looking like a Selke contender and being super himan on the PK. Rinzel making Frank Seravelli look smart. Big Lou, a solid bottom six D-man, sticking up for teamates, planting Curtis Joseph face first into the Ice, and being strong on the PK.
I thought Levshunov would be in Rockford this season, and the first couple of games he was really bad, but Lev has had NO WTF is he doing???? moments in the last couple games. Let's hope Lucas Reichel finally found his game.
Blashill was a coach with an identity that didnt fit correctly with the teams he coached(tried to bring 2017 VGK hockey to the Lightning). The Blackhawks were a raw team with no identity and a moldable team. Its a good fit (so far)

This team is not at all the same roster as last year… it was only the last 10 games or so that the. younger players hit the roster….
Also Blashill steps up for his team like against Montreal yelling against the refs and talking about it post game. Players see that and will want to play for you and step up !

I think they'll be a tough match for most teams in the league. Whether that translates to any sort of contending status remains to be seen, but I think it's foolish to discount a collection of young talent under an effective coach.

Bédard, Nazar, Leshvunov, Reichel, Knight, Vlasic, Donato, Mikheyev, Turbo…. This team has some great raw talent, just need to get some real chemistry flowing and they can win on any given night against anyone.
As a Rockford resident I've seen a lot of bad hockey from the former coaches for this franchise. Juat got back from the icehogs game. They look 100% more competitive and we'll Coached. I think this franchise is on the right track now.
Hawks fan here. No, but they are much better than the last two seasons. You can see how the new guys position themselves and play the puck on defense and on the offensive zone.
