   I gave Andrew ladd a lot of crap for hope passes and other dumb things he used to do but here's two things I'll give him:

   1. He played in the NHL and I sure as hell never did.

   2. He was willing to play in Winnipeg.

   So good on him.

   As a bonus, he was pretty freaking good in front of the net. Some stellar tips back in the day.

   It helps that their salaries go a lot further here than in LA or NY. That, and all these guys they’re signing grew up in the Northern states or Canada.

   Ladd was a great first captain of the jets. Played his heart out every night and because he’s a good old Western Canada boy, he was tough as nails! exactly what the team needed when he was here!
