I'll be honest. The Sharks made some very simple plays, and sure maybe they got a couple goals that went their way. But they got pucks on net and it tallied up. I didn't like how the Devils were being a little too fancy trying to drive to the net so many times in the 2nd period. Sharks goalie was making those saves way too easily. Maybe more shots from the open. The slot. Maybe even from the point. Tough loss but every team's different.
We haven’t been getting any goals from Bratt, Nico, Timo, Palat. We need at least 1 goal a night from these guys. I’m not complaining about them but we need to see the scoring consistency.
Hughes plated 3 for Palat and he couldn't finish any of them. It wasn't a pretty game defensively, but they have to generate more 5 on 5 scoring. Take Palat off the top line and move Brown up there. Coming from Edmonton, Brown can play at Bratt and Jack's pace.
Looks like we the N.J. Devils fans got exited about this season too early. The excuses sound the same all over again. In the coming weeks we will know what to expect for this season.

I am glad keefe sees the issues but it’s on the players
Team needs to stop playing like crap in the first. 4th straight season, 2nd coach. On the players to be ready at the start of the game.
