@Hurricanes de la Caroline

  1. Cheap shot by Pitlik. Staal gave him a bloody nose. Yeah Jordan is old but he is impossible to knock down- massive guy

  2. What the actually fart are we talking about here, the pussyfication of hockey is real. Its not a bloody penalty. Just blow the whistle and give the man a minute to collect himself after getting smoked. Im am NOT rooting for harm or intent to injure behavior, but this is a full contact sport. Great hit!

  3. Hockey had to move past the “it’s ok because he had his head down” mentality. Sure you have to be aware and protect yourself, but a dirty hit is a dirty hit.

  4. soon open ice hits are going to be illegal. will only be able to check against the boards

i can see it coming, because with open ice hits, the player getting hit will almost always be skating – which inevitably has them crunched over and have a lower head, which is much easier to make contact with even unintentionally. any body check in that position will contact the head, unless its maybe 100% from the side and you drive into their shoulder

  5. This isn't 90s hockey anymore and I'd say that by today's standards, that was a dirty hirt. From top to bottom

  6. ECK! Always bringing the light. Good hit…in the old days. Now- you hit the head at all- you’re gone. PEACE! To all.

  7. I don't think the hit was intentional and I don't think the guy needs a suspension. He made the hit, it contacted the head. Staal whooped his ass as would be expected from a bruiser of a team captain that he is. The penalty was served and we should all move on and wish that any injured player Chatty included gets better and back out on the ice so we can see each teams best play.

What we shouldn't be doing is saying that Pitlick should get anything more than he did, he's a young kid and he's gonna learn from this. We also shouldn't be saying that Chatty deserved it or should take more hits like that.

  8. Not dirty, questionable as to being late. Chatfield has his head down watching a bouncing puck so he's in a bad spot. If his head is 3-4" higher, that's a shoulder to the chest. He probably took just as much — or more — damage from being run over by Trenin as he's going down.

  9. Intent to injure should be a penalty in hockey. Hockey is the only sport that allows hitting on players that no longer effect the play.

  10. The Wild aren't elite in the league, so they get treated like all bottom teir teams by the league, and scapegoats for things that happen all the time but are overlooked if you're a star or a front runner. I can point out a half dozen instances where one of their star players was targeted with zero repercussions from the pathetic 'office of player safety'.

  11. I think it was just a unfortunate hit, as he didnt raise his shoulder or elbow. To me imo he looked to hit him in his chest and him dipping down to pass, penalty sure, but a toss is a lil much. i agree with you but its a tough call to make as a players health is invovled. hope he recovers and is all right.

  12. Keep yr head up Chatfield. Karma. Chatfield is known for being a Rat, a dirty chippy player himself. Its too bad bc hes actually a really GOOD player too. What goes around comes around

  13. Has no one realized a Wild player accidentally kneed the Canes player after he was down? These kinds of hits are sort of a gray area. Even if it was to the chest, his head snapped back violently.

  14. I think the thing that makes it a misconduct for me is you can see him raise his shoulder right as he’s going to hit Chatty. There’s clearly intent to go high and that’s what made him get the boot. I’m a Canes fan first and I love the Wild but you can’t let hits like that be the norm or there won’t be hockey players in the league without CTE.

  15. I went to my first NHL game last night and just so happened to see that in person and have a pic of that moments aftermath. Good times

  16. I don’t want to see any more head injuries. Dudes gotta be smarter. Also not a representation of how Minny plays. Doubt he suits up for them again

  18. After watching about 100 of your videos this one got me to sub for some reason. Great work you're doing here bud.

  19. How does nobody mention that Chatfield hit his head on Trenin's leg on the way down? That looked like a more violent head-snap than the original hit.

  20. 100 percent clean hit. Too many people dont seem to realise that the game happens in real time from first person perspective. Everyone is trying to find an angle of the hit that is misleading to make it appear dirty so they can virtue signal for phony morality points. Its Hockey people, grow some balls.

  21. You should make a bid on Jakub Dobes crying in an interview after his last game. The kid is competitive and needs to learn to be nicer to himself.
