#Oilers d’Edmonton #Oilers #LNH

  1. Knoby isn't close to getting fired at this moment, they'll trade for a goalie before that happens.

  2. "Are The Edmonton Oilers QUITTING On Kris Knoblauch?" It's an interesting question. I do feel, however, that it is a secondary question to the more important question, which is, 'Is the coaching staff hurting this hockey team?' I understand Kris is a nice guy, and he has been to back to back cups, has a very good winning percentage, I get all of that, but i would get this team to do an immediate about-face by bringing in a new head coach (plus luring Mr Coffey back for another go at the D). That move, plus getting some bodies back from injury, and hopefully making a move to bring in a new #1 goalie (at this point, even 'change for change's sake', is a necessary thing for the goalie situation – this Cannot go on!), would be my way of kick-starting the heartbeat of this team. Maybe also teaching the bottom 6 how to effectively dump-n-chase, get some licks in, play hard n heavy hockey.

  3. He makes them practice together then mixes them all up, makes SOME guys sit when they screw up but the really bad ones have no accountability. I don't agree with the coach either but how many coaches do these guys need before they learn defense before offense. We're in the 10th or 11th year of the McDavid era and I've yet to see a strong defensive team. Gotta get rid of some assets and trade for some grit and goaltending.

  4. I had been starting to think the team wants knobs out, all other things are not making sense, goaltending has always been an issue, how the hell can one figure this all out.

  5. Liplock Knoblock should NEVER HAVE BEEN HIRED in the first place…His firing cant happen soon enough

  6. No there are no firing soon , the organization is not that stupid , they don’t fire coaches when teams struggle due to key players being injured . There are multiple reasons why the oilers are struggling .

4-5 oilers players are new to the NHL , McDavid is not going to burn himself out before the Olympics he will pace himself , Kris Knoblauch implementing new systems due to the fact that the Dallas stars now have a former member of the oilers coaching staff as their new head coach . The Dallas stars are a threat to the oilers in the playoffs . Zack Hyman ( key player ) injury . It’s a combination of all these things .

  7. dont get me excited lol. I quit rooting for the oilers at trade deadline last year when they decided to run with swiss skinner while having pylon nurse and trashbag bouchard. i promised myself I cant root for a team like that with that soft ego man scumbag knobcock. untill that trashbag and atleast 2 of those other scrubs are gone they will never win anything and I cant put myself through it with them anymore

  8. Of course their going to fire him because they just signed him to a contract extension and McDavid is going Thank God I only signed for 2 years.
They are not ad good as they were 2 years ago or a year ago. They will not make the finals this year and sorry folks but Hyman is not a savior. It us the beginning of the end for McDavid 's tenure as an Oiler.

  9. I think the Oilers are tired of the line blender. They want to find chemistry with their line mates and can’t if it changing period by period.

  10. Def an head couch.. should be let go.. it’s a mess 😢 but I’d blame Jeff Jackson for all this bs ..

  11. YEA THEY HAVE BEEN TO THE CUP FINAL TWICE, BUT COULD NOT PULL IT OFF WHAT DOES YHAT TELL YOU????

  12. I will never forgive Tippet for breaking up the Drai, Nuge and Yamo line just at the playoffs started. After that Loss to the Hawks in the bubble he lost me. "We can't just be one line" he said like a fool and ended up having NO LINES for the Hawks to contend with.

This organization never deserved Drai and 97. This coming from a die hard Oilers fan. Talk about mismanaging 2 HOF Careers. I hope this comment doesn't age well but I worry.

  13. One can debate to what extent coaching is responsible for the mess in which the Oilers find themselves but in their most-recent game McDavid and Draisaitl were the only point-getters. This team is broken.

  14. Can’t win Stanley mug with .880 goaltending and 20 million Bouchard & Nurse. Should have: traded Bush Bomb & Skinner, resigned Perry, Brown, brought in a proven tender as starter, previous errors: let Fogel go, allowed the Buffalo theft fiasco. It’s not just coaching and missing Hymen.. it’s management goofs and tending and no grit. This team is waaaay too easy to play against. Huge holes left open in the defensive zone.. quality of shots allowed are atrocious .. McD and Dri and Nuge havta work 3 times as hard to get quality shots as the competition. This team playing this way won’t even make the playoffs. The team has played like this right from the start of the season .. after the Vancouver opener which they dominated. Since then it’s been difficult to watch. Frederic hasn’t brought anywhere near what Perry contributed.. at what? More than Double what they could have gotten Perry for? Sad.

  15. Kris hasn't been inspiring, but i honestly dont know if coaching is the problem. The team has had so many different coaches and has always had an entitlement issue. A new coach could be the right move to get the yearly new coach bump after a bad Oiltober but the fact that's a pattern points to an issue with the players and not the coach

  16. These players are making millions of dollers to do a job. A service for hire if you will, just like all the people paying huge money to watch them play. At the end of the day, the boss has the say on how things are run and executed. I do not believe that firing the coach all the time is always the answer. The players have to man-up and earn their paychecks.

  17. typical oil mgmt – blame it on someone else – CEO, President, GM all should go – McD & dsry can run the team , mostly McD 'cause hi is playing coach, acting GM & has the Oil balls in his hands – they are too scared to move "cause they want him to stay beyond the 2 yrs – Ooooops no cap for sure with Nurse & now Bouchard high priced contracts – u can recover Nurse, Bouch – trade hi,
