When the team’s goaltending is ranked 28th in the NHL, with the 3rd rank power play in the league, just shows all the stu skinner fans what’s actually going wrong with this team
Calvin Pickard currently sits at a single game above .830, if we had even average goaltending that game isn’t even close, he lets in FIVE while getting bailed out by the post FIVE times

Blend the lines some more you idiot, no need for chemistry when everyone is soooo talented. It’s almost funny how this guys philosophy that was so successful to start has completely flipped and now he looks like every other coach the past decade. It’s almost like he’s trying to get fired now so he can just collect a big paycheck and sit at home.
If picks made 1 more big save we’re right there! He’s not looking the same in years past that’s for sure! He’s been clutch for us though. Hoping he can find his game again!

Get rid of picks hes unplayable, and Kris you should be fired like what the hell is wrong with you, you keep coaching like this Oilers wont be a playoff team, cause the team identity is McDavid and Draisaitl you play both of them 24 to 25 mins basically every game he doesn't trust his bottom six, and all the bottom six is getting less the 10 mins for a 60 minute game,,, again he keeps this crap up Oilers womt be in the playoffs and if so they will get eliminated in the first round.. cause his coaching is garbage and Picks cant be in the NHL anymore, and the team don't want to show up
Frederick and magaipagne is painful to watch! My god could we find a manager that can get us 1 good goalie and rid ourselves of these slow non finishers??

Calvin Pickard played honorably during his tenure as an Oiler. However i think his time is coming to an end here, he has always been a career backup goalie. His true value is finally showing and we need to trade the chips for Saros so Skinner would be a decent backup.
Has this guy tried playing mcdavid and drai more? They aren’t getting enough ice time!!!!

I can't believe the management and the Knob blame everyone but Skinner and Pickard. Ninety percent of the time they give up 2 or 3 goals before they face 10 shots on net. Once they get scored on the floodgates open and they couldn't stop a beach ball.

The GM can’t pull off a Goalie trade and keeps making excuses / accepting crappy goaltending. Until the GM grows a pair and has the guts to make a trade, this is our new mediocre/under achieving Oilers.
The pattern has nothing to do with either goalie, the real constant is Bouchard. Every single time he’s around the net, the puck ends up in it. Just look at the first two goals tonight. Until that defensive leak is fixed, you could put Hasek in net and it still wouldn’t matter. And honestly, the whole team needs a month of playing football, because in the D-zone they’re just standing there like training cones.
What drives me crazy is that every time the puck ends up in the net, Bouchard makes that same face… like “oh darn, how did that happen again?” You see it once, fine. You see it every game, it’s infuriating. There are forwards, there are defensemen, and then there’s Bouchard… something in between, but definitely neither. And somehow that hybrid chaos costs 10.5 million.
Oilers need to understand that in the D zone there is a lot of room between taking a penalty and just standing there. Add some physicality instead of this gentleman stuff where whoever gets to the crease first keeps the spot. At some point you have to make people pay for standing in front of your goalie.

Coach, Lazar should be ahead of Henrique in the picking order imo!…. He can win draws, what Henrique is used for mainly. He probably has more speed and more physicality and abrasiveness to his game than Henrique! Henrique needs to sit when Hyman, Nuge and Kapanen all get back! He's too slow! And when is the defense going to start playing DEFENSE? What's so difficult in picking up guys, tying up their sticks and pushing them out of the way in front of our net. ITS SIMPLE STUFF, WHY CANT THEY DO IT??? SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE!!!!
