still too soft
I think benching their undefeated goalie was a horrible mistake, he's an emotional young goalie who needs to toughen up mentally but we will never know now whether his streak was a fluke or if the benching crushed his confidence, I lean towards the latter especially with the mental game being a huge part of goal tending, his timely big saves are what helped the them rally for all those close comeback wins and they wouldn't have had such a great start if it wasn't for him, hopefully he can bounce back and get his shit together because if not we got two goalies who's confidence is in the dirt
.615… thats sadly what happens when you put too much pressure on yourself.
Arber was looking good early, to me
Thing is every team (even the very good ones) go through a bad stretch at some point.
Remember last year's disastrous start? The entire team should have been sent to Laval, Martin St. Louis couldn't coach, Kent Hughes did not know what he was doing (Lekhonen!), and what exactly was Chantal Machabé doing there?
And then … they made the playoffs.
Just beat those bloodly Bruins Saturday night and all will be forgotten. 😅
Shot count doesn't matter if you don't get enough high threat chances on the goalie. Also the Habs have been playing sloppy defense in their end of the ice the last several games and its catching up to them and they need to fix it. Wonder if Marty is going to bag skate them tomorrow.
Everything started falling apart when Marty began wearing that silly little moustache.
..
Peewee coach doing pewee coach things. Get a real coach already
Need to get bigger and play bigger.
MSL and fans need to worry less about who the #1 goalie is and focus on more on consistent performance and workload. Both goalies need to work, for the foreseeable MSL needs to alternate them every game unless there is an overwhelming reason not to. With Newhook out who comes up? Dauphin? Davidson? Thanks guys.
12-1 in 2 games.
Oof
Yes, the last 2 teams they played were bigger, but they were also much more experienced. It takes a long time for a team as young as ours to learn when to shoot and go to the net for rebounds and "garbage" goals and when to try and make pretty highlight reel plays. Nobody expected them to win a cup this year so relax.
habs got pumped !! lol
only 5 regulation wins, goalies are both trash, these bums are missing the playoffs or losing in 1st again 😂
Another Habs game of sloppy D, shaky goaltending, 4th highest GA in the Conference, Piss poor head coaching!! 😂😂😂😂
MSL.This all started with Zegras, Blatt and now Robertson. Why do people come into our barn and make us look bad.
Dallas is a top 4 team in NHL with parity in league you will see those top teams will win like this time to time.
Out west Aves,Stars,Vegas,Ducks are looking like the top teams rn.
And the drop in the standings is coming. Maybe one more 5 pick again. Get Reinbacher in. Anderson Evans gone.
too much respect for opposing teams. They are not your friends on the ice.
I disagree, no one was good tonight. We are getting exposed now, offensively we are not good against top heavy playoff teams. We got pushed around and our forecheck was non existent.
Defense was atrocious man we are missing Guhle for sure.
Dobes could of stopped 1 or 2 goals there but Dallas is elite offensively and 2nd best PP.
PK and PP are struggling.
RIP Newhook lol.
We are a bubble team that will finish anear last WC spot. We are still rebuilding and have work to do.
maybe they all got that flue that's been going around
we don't have a goalie the save percentage on Monty is absolutely abysmal probably the worst in the league. As for dobes he hasn't played enough games to assess his percentage.
Flashback – it was Dec. 12, 2024 Habs vs Pittsburgh. By games end – score was Pittsburgh 9 – Montreal 2. Their Record after that shellacking after 29 games played 11-W, 15-L, 3-O/T – 25 Points. Their Record today – after 17 games played 10-W, 5-L, 2-O/T – 22 Points. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that last nights blowout is at this point and time, their Pittsburgh moment of last year. After that Pittsburgh game Marty commented that he wasn't angry but disappointed. They've padded themselves well to right the ship and are in a much better position than last year. They will get things ironed out…it's a long season with many ups and downs. This is their Pittsburgh moment!
makes my day
No surprise the youngest team in the league has a tough time with lineups loaded with veterans (Kings & Stars)
We suck against Dallas and LA. Just look back over the past 10 years. I don't know what kind of voodoo those cities have on us but it's insane how one sided the head to heads are.
Biggest loss of last night was Newhook
I'm afraid Newhook is out for the rest of this season. 😮
Dallas has only lost once in regulation in the last 12 , and when Benn and Duchene get back they'll be even tougher . So don't be too tough on the Habs . All the best for Newhook's quick recovery.
The Habs's worst defeat at Le Centre Bell.
They have to attack the center of the ice a little more and slow down the paste a little bit. I think they pass the puck a little to much in the offensive zone. They should go towards the center of the ice from the sides first and try to attract one or two of the adversary before making the pass; just look at what Demidov did in one of his last appearance in the third period, he manoeuvre towards center and passed an adversary with agility going thru their zone… he use to do that a little more in the beginning of the season with more success.
The Montemblow delusion continues………
well
Hey!! Who is not liking the videos?!!!!
That was definitely a reality check. Maybe Habs fans can stop planning the parade now. They're a good team on the verge of greatness, but they are young and need time to develop, and another 2 or 3 pieces before they're legit contenders
