I hope they don’t rush Laughton back tbh, I know we need him rn but it’s not worth another Tanev situation where we rush a guy back and they re aggravate a concussion (assuming it was a concussion that Laughton suffered from zadarov hit)
I was thinking they should have called Jake up when they called up Cowan so they could get Domi not to play centre!
Maybe the "fill ins" will spark the regulars to play better, i hope it will, Leafs need to put a few wins together to find their conidence again.
How do you get hurt, playing non-contact hockey….
Leafs are very resistant to bringing up their youth… it seems to be why we lose so many good players to other teams. I like that this will force them to start playing their young guns.. Hopefully puts pressure on the vets to play better as well.
Laughton is missed in this lineup. Nashville and St. Louis may want to shed some players that could help the Leafs. As long as they don't bring back Ryan O'Reilly, it's all good.
Mind as well just IR the entire roster including the GM please
From trade rumor that leafs are show case F Jacob Quillan and two teams linked are Sabers and Sharks that have been at leafs games and from Elliotte Friedman that leafs looking roster swap but from trade rumors that other teams want sweeter go with and F Jacob Quillan and both Roni Hirvonen and Topi Niemela NHL signing rights have been in trade rumors as sweeter but if true or not we will see?
It is quite disappointing to see so many early season injuries. It says to me a lot of people were not spending their off time keeping fit. Yea working out and keeping fit I played men's intermediate hockey, bush league, and I rode bike all summer and ran 2/3 times per week so I would not look like a looser out there. You have 800 to a 1000 players many under 25 working to get a million dollar a year job, and not only that many of them are getting a million dollars to be professional hockey players. Fans are paying 200 a seat and they don't pay to watch you get in shape for 20 games.
If we are not in the top two of our division, I'd rather stay at the bottom of the standings to draft in the top five. This team needs to get younger and this is a fantastic draft.
As a positive? Nice to see our depth.. Showcase some players? I actually think the Leafa have had a bad shake.. They have played really bad but I don't think they are this bad of a team. Defense needs to get younger but our forwards are deep and so is our goaltending.
If the leafs are not a playoff lock in February, trade all the vets except 1 or 2 for draft picks this coming summer and race to the bottom of the standing for a top five pick. You see how fast and good Boston rebuilds and comes back on top. Leafs should learn from the Bs.
have you seen enough games to think this team as constructed is good enough to beat tampa and or florida in the playoffs i'm talking just getting out of our division
the old players look comfortable that's why they suck leafs can:t stay healthy big and soft whats the point of having big guys if they get hurt not durable what a joke of a a team lol maple laughs

Players that need to go….Reilly – worst plus minus in league last year at -43, salary too high…..Roy – all size with no agression, very slow and limited skill.. Dakota, all size with fake agression, very slow and limited skill…Myers – just awful all round…Cowan – needs to develop in the minors..Mermis-eh.
