  1. Solid win that!! Much better pressure on the Seattle offense when they entered the zone. And they did a great job keeping Seattle at arms length in the third period. That save by Talbot after the mix up behind the net, didn't get the nearly the praise it deserved. Might've been ASP best game in the NHL so far. Great to see Finnie bag a goal too. Congrats to Nate Dog on his first NHL goal and Larkin on 600 points. Also like the fact Larkin went over to calm Raymond down after Montour tried to draw a late penalty.

  2. Hey Dylan that massive last goal other night is the same as then empty net 1 goal all equal unless you didn’t need it.only time you don’t takes milestone is 2 one empty net.

  3. Good win but the only thing I’d say about this is that I’m tired of us starting the first period slow, then the players and coaches pointing it out afterwards. I want a game where we dominate from start to finish lol.

  4. Todd said the most games ASP has probably played in one season is 36 or 37 but in the SHL he played 46 regular season and 11 playoff games last year

  5. Excellent job getting the win tonight, boys! I got tired of those arrogant Kraken being on my hate list.

  6. Here's the issue. Talbot didnt face much work tonight again. But the next game he plays he will give up 3 soft goals on 15 shots. He has no consistency. Its the same thing last year. Its why his save percentage has been so poor. He made.some great saves tonight but we need that far more then what we get. Gibson is the one that goes on runs where he can carry a team. Talbot doesn't have that ability. Talbot is a true backup. Gibson needs to lock it in..also talbot i notice if he does give up a soft goal it ruins his entire mental psyche the rest of the game and then everything shot at him almost goes in the net. He needs to let it go. Osgood never cared he moved on

  7. I love the idea of Seider and Edvinsson on the first D Line. Danielson is looking for like a bonafide game breaker already. Still waiting for ASP to get more comfortable positionally so we can see his offensive game shine. Nice to see Larkin not being depressed during interviews when he has to take the brunt of criticism. Finally starting to see what he's capable with an actual roster behind him.

And for the record, so many people have been hating on Ben Chiarot these past few years. I always thought the hate toward him was unwarranted. What do they have to say now? Not every defensemen is going to be Cale Makar. We need guys like Chiarot to bring grit and physicality. I'm also super impressed how well he's been moving the puck under coach Todd.

  8. 10:00 i've noticed this misconception about the swedish top leauge from Todd now a few times, he seem to mix up the SHL with how they play in NCAA, where they only play once a week? ASP havnt played "max 36-37 games in a season" before coming to NA… In the SHL you usually play at minimum twice a week (usually tuesday and saturday), but often three times a week (then it's tuesday, Thursday and saturday, this is more common in the playoffs).

So if you add into the playoffs games you can easily get up playing (specially on a true contender that ASP played for that usually wins a couple of rounds) as many games as you do in the AHL (which i believe is 72?). Now ASP have missed some time due to injurys last two full seasons he played in the SHL but he have still played a lot more then "36-37", last year he played 57 games and the year before 53, and this is not even counting the Champions HL tournament where the top teams in Europe play against each others in a playoff type format, where ASP's team Skellefteå have qualified every year and there is another 10+ games… Now if you add all national team games he played aswell (they are played when the rest of the leauge have it's breaks which usually is like a week ×3 times a season), you have to add another 20+ games on his account… If you also add that he joined Grand Rapids after SHL concluded last year, you add what, another 5-10 games, then ofcourse we have preseason games in Sweden aswell so there is another 8-10 games… Then all of a sudden we are talking about around 100 games during a years span…

So yeah, only reason I conment on this is because McLellan have stated this wrong fact a numerous of times now and me (born and raised in Linköping, Sweden) following the SHL daily have gotten a bit annoyed by this lol…

Ofcourse the NHL is a diffrent beast (it is compared to any other leauge), but cant compare the SHL how they play in college/junior leauges in NA, it's a lot more games then there and probably the toughest leauge (again, behind the NHL obviously) to play in as a teenager specially…

  9. Saying he is happy with this goalie tandem is WILD, and is the problem with this team. Open your eyes. Gibson is awful and Talbot can’t play 41 games. It’s gonna be a rough end of the year when he’s tired. Gotta get a young good goalie in there. Hopefully Augustine is our savior
