What I noticed thjat really stood out is the defense was backing out too early instead of pinching in on the wingers whom were EASY pass outs.This has been a problem all year MTL allows teams to EASILY move through each zone there is no structure to pressure.Geesh when I think about it MTL is playing a football style zone prevent type defense in all 3 zones but it prevents NOTHING they cover nobody they don't prevent ANY passing lanes.
Just like last year in the playoffs Chychrun dominated the habs and just liek last year let loose a cannon goal…defense shouldn't have that kind of time to take big wind up howitzers.A buddy of mine long ago told me modern players don't take slapshots anymore the sticks allow for easy powerful shots with no effort..yet versus Mtl they still have time for big wind ups.
I saiud all year when they were winning they were not playing very good were VERY lucky with timely goals and that sooner or later the luck will run out and it has.
Let's not forget those unwarranted high fives from last year MTL did NOT deserve to make the playoffs they were gifted their final win of the season.
