  1. Soooo, Morgan Geekie is a really good hockey player! Jokes aside, that was a huge win & thank god we won it, that 3rd period was stressful.

  2. "Geekie sux, he's a loser, i hate him on the Bruins, he's a big DummyFace!' Whoa, Nelly! Just missed the jinx there, but NICE recovery there, LQ! You saved our season!

  3. If I had to pick I would definitely prefer to have Aspirot over Mcavoy though. He's real fun to watch and Mcavoy's mistakes when he did make them, seemed to me, were more dangerous than the mistakes Aspirot made/makes.

  4. Any win, any point on a road trip with a roster as depleted as this is absolutely huge. Somehow they're actually playing winable games. We felt like we let a winable one get away against Anaheim, but we didn't let this one get away. m/

As for the call-ups, they're definitely in over their heads but they're playing admirably under the circumstances. Sure, we can get on Blumel's case for his decision-making tonight, but what can we expect from a guy who's like fourth down the replacement player depth chart? Of course we're gonna feel a lot better with actual NHL-caliber players back in the lineup.

And something to consider with the call-ups are the labor disputes going on in the AHL and ECHL right now. While those are going on, the call-ups are getting NHL money for each game they play. So good on them for getting that bag.

  5. here's a lineup suggestion for when Lindholm, Arvidsson and Mittelstadt are healthy (because I think McAvoy is going to be long-term so I don't really know what to say).

    Mittelstadt-Zacha-Pastrnak (I like Zacha-Pasta, and I liked Mitts-Zacha, so… why not?)
Khusnutdinov-Lindholm-Geekie (I like the Khusy-Geekie pair, and I prefer Zacha with Pasta over Lindholm, so yeah)
Arvidsson-Minten-Kastelic (I know breaking up this line is sacrilege, and I get it, but I wonder if Minten-Kastelic could use someone with more offensive pop… and I have nowhere else to put Arvidsson)
Jeannot-Kuraly-Eyssimont (I moved Jeannot down a line, but I still do like him. Kuraly needs to be on the PK so he stays, and Eyssimont defies all logic, so he stays)
Tufte/Viel-Steeves (Tufte/Viel, I'm more of a Viel guy, but Tufte had a good game and a bad game, had some moments if you want. Steeves I actually like more than Eyssimont, but I can't justify taking him out of the lineup)

Lindholm-Jokiharju (because… idk we haven't really tried it so why not? all these pairs are probably going to suck. There isn't a good option here, but I wonder if Jokiharju won't look as bad next to Lindholm)
Zadorov-Lohrei (right, so hear me out. i liked lohrei on the right side against montreal, and zadorov is the most defensively sound guy on the team. if anyone can cover up for his missteps, which would help his offense shine more, it's that guy)
Aspirot-Peeke (Or Harris-Peeke when Harris gets back, just think this would be responsible, smart)
Callahan (Until Harris gets back then presumably it's Aspirot)

  6. I was listening to this game on the tv in the other room, no goals the whole game, we score one then they score one. Never realized we gave up a shorty. WE GAVE UP A SHORTY AGAIN???????????????

  7. Tufte and Steeves just need to not be terrible, please and thank you and you're doing a great job

  8. Hello from NJ. I am so happy I stayed up to watch this game. I can see how hard this team works. Despite some stupid mistakes leading to short-handed goals, they play to the end. Btw, Kemper is a punk sore loser. I've NEVER seen a goalie try to trip an opposing player after the game ended.

  9. I will continue to not like the Kings until they go back to the Purple and Gold

  10. 6:49 My bet is that may have been Pasta's idea to get all the Czech players together not Sturm's. But yeah Blümel still needs time.

  11. i had that feeling also lol i knew they were going to score on our power play.i did feel like we were going to win this .go bsss!!!

  12. When Kuraly was getting in the box after being given a 10 minute misconduct, he was looking at the ref and screaming, ''You big fucking baby!''. Also, I think we forget that NHL ref's are tasked with making the product exciting and making the game as competitive as possible. When we see a flurry of penalties being called on the Bruins, it's often because we are physically dominating the other team with our size advantage.

  13. No matter what happens this year there is no denying that these blue collar lunch pals guys pretty much bring it almost every nite…. Cannot imagine what this type of work effort could have done with previous Bruins teams with way more talent… how many cups could we have had if all teams had worked this hard….

  14. Morgan Geekie- good player/unfortunate name. As shallow as it seems, I would think that last name would prevent a lot of people from getting his jersey. Kind of the opposite of Miroslav Satan- awesome name, but I would imagine some may have thought twice about getting his jersey. Hail Geekie!

  15. I saw that a 1030 start time, had a scotch and soda, and went to bed. Time to sleep through all the west coast games! Woo!

  16. Didn't stay up to watch after 1st. BUT>>>>

I did go to BC – UMaine game where Hagens netted 2 (3 points) and Latourneau had his own sniperooni and cheese off an offensive zone face-off, and also had 3 pints in a 7=3 win.

  17. Top tier skit lol that was awesome.

Gutsy win, would’ve loved to finish it in regulation but getting 2 points is all that matters.

Agree with the Steeve’s take. I think he’s been very serviceable and has done what he’s been asked to do to the best of his abilities. Also agree with Lohrei, I want him to be good so bad because I really like him. But his defensive play is so rough.

Let’s finish the roadie with another 2 points. Oh and Geekie? MacKinnon? I don’t see a difference. Go B’s.

  18. Interesting comments about the call-ups. It makes me wonder if Providence is playing the same style as Boston's. I gotta say, Sturm's systems are confusing to me, although I can't argue with success. If the newBeez are needing to overide their reflex decisions on being called up, I can see why they are caught out of position more often than usual. A winning record in Providence is a healthy thing for the team and fans but first and foremost they need to provide game ready call-ups at a moment's notice.

  19. He's been on pace for over 50 almost the entire season. Prior to this game he was still on pace for 52. Right now 57. Will he do 50? He's scoring a lot of different ways. Tips, Rushes, Beating goalies from range with his shot. It's hard to shut down a guy who's scoring in soo many different ways. But guaranteed teams are going to hit the tape hard during the Olympic break and there will for sure be some guys who do get shut down in the back half of the year. So we'll see.

  20. Geeks is on fire , this dude is feelin it too . His confidence and hockey sense is sharp .

  21. You are worth millions to do this to be sure.!
Never miss a pod. You keep it real, and really appreciate this.
    Happy Thanksgiving, and …
    …GO B's!

  22. When they scooped geekie from Seattle I thought it was a great pickup for a 20 point third liner, BUT LOOK AT THIS GUY!! You can tell all of the hard work he’s been putting in, he was scratched and didn’t score his first goal til December last season, still put up over 30 and now is on pace for 57 and tied for league lead. GEEKIE FOR THE ROCKET! GO BRUINS

  23. You're an animal releasing this at 3 am. That said, it is much appreciated. Great video

  24. Agree on all points especially about Blumel. Im sure he will be a good player but how he gets called up on the top line and playing the pp is confusing. If I’m Lysel Im asking for a trade or go back to Europe. He’s never been given a chance to succeed.

  25. As a Bruins fan that lives in LA, goes to a lot of Kings game and roughly follows the Kings, I don’t feel great Ken Holland was a terrible hire, Jim Hiller and him both need to go, didn’t rebuild for a long enough time
