   This is the truest statement yet. Gabe is one of the leagues best captains. Hes everyones big brother. Landy is our Captain, future gm just watch.

   No doubt truth to that. But a complete roster is the main culprit. Haven't had it since the cup, until after the deadline last season, and they we're really good but not quite buzzing yet. Don't underestimate the good middle six they didn't have for 2.5 years, which Landy is also a part of. But confidence, winning, and a complete roster they knew was great. Try being shook at all then. A good start and this team as a whole flying high makes sense. Sorry Landy, not MVP. Huge. But not MVP. They have zero reason to doubt, that's the MVP. And MacK and Makar frankly are insane through a quarter season. Hurting each other's MVP case and still the only choices in the league right now. Even in the more metophric MVP sense.

   It still honestly blows my mind that Ron hextall as gm of the flyers when all his scouts said take this makar kid he could be the next Bobby Orr and he says ya nope don't think so how much better would the flyers be with cale makar on their blue line and they just hand him to Colorado i mean the scouts were like then why the hell are we here for if we basically hand you a sure thing and the gm is like ya I'm not listening to the fitz who are evaluating the talent I mean you'd expect Kevin adams of the Sabres to maybe do that but it was ron hextall who did it
