  1. Here's my take, they were the President's Trophy Winners last year, so yeah people are going to pay extra attention to what made us successful. Speed kills us, I know we wanted to get "heavier" to prepare for the trials and tribulations of the playoffs, but we were winning when we had some of our kids in (Lambo, Ford, Chibby), so maybe it's time to have 1 or 2 of them back in the lineup. Inject some youth, some speed, and dare I say give our draft picks a chance to actually succeed on this team. Just sayin

  2. 😂 wouldn’t matter if he wasn’t hurt. In fact it would be even worse as the team plays looser in front of him relying on him to make a save. Chevy needs to be fired. He let Ehlers walk for free and filled the line up with discarded fourth liners and a guy who was great when the Jets came into the league 15 years ago. This franchise has lost its way. Big changes need to happen now and it starts in the front office.

  3. How about the Jets do what every other team in the league does? Split up the top line to try to get more scoring through the line-up. And that top line is not great defensively, anyway. And if Connor's about to be paid $12M, let's see him drive his own line.

As it is, this team has one top line, and then 9 other 4th line players. And the defensive pairings aren't that much better. Salo, a promising prospect, is again scratched for the slow-footed Luke Schenn. Morrissey is constantly having to carry Demelo. It's a mess, and this has to fall at the feet of Chevy. The league is moving for younger & faster, and Chevy makes sure to lock up his old core, and sign aging, slow vets, instead of giving young players a legit chance to play. And at this point, the young guys can't be any worse than what we're seeing from the veterans.

  4. Are you kidding here? Hellebuyck benefits from the Jets more than the Jets benefit from Hellebuyck. The Jets won't skip a beat with Hellebuyck out

  5. Mission McKenna in full force, free agency doesn’t work well so the draft is the way and a down year is not the worst thing to gather some top end talent that they lack

  6. Button is bang on with his assessment. Drop Toews down to the 4th line, where he belongs, and for God's sakes bring in a 2nd line center !!! You can't win if you can't score !!

  7. Split 55 and 81.
And get rid of the old slow players.
    Simple.
    Or tank for Mckenna

  8. It’s not a goalie issue to yes they can. The rest of the players have to wake tf up helle isn’t saving them with what’s happening in front of the goalies.
