Missed game stoppages aren't a big deal at agme 30 of the regular season but they have to be called in the SCFs. Didn't a puck in the nettting get missed in STL Vs BOS in 2019? Not a Bruins fan btw

If Montembeault ain't on the Olympic team, does that mean there will be no French players on the team? There will be Quebec league players like Crosby and MacKinnon, but no French players which makes you wonder what has happened to hockey in Quebec. Having grown up in the days of Lafleur and Savard and Cournoyer and Potvin and Lemieux and so many others, and hearing about how passionate they are about hockey in Montreal, are they just passionate about watching but don't play any more?
I know Monty is struggling, but I feel as though if he played more, he'd get it going again for the habs.

IDK… legal hand passes that create goals would suck – not a hockey play IMO. Batting it out of your defensive zone as a clearing technique feels harmless though.
Hand passed are illegal in offensive zone because it's dangerous to have guys swinging fists around goalies heads. Getting punched on the side of your head when you aren't suspecting it, is a recipe for disaster.

The Buffalo goal was never going to stand. He either batted it to a teammate with his glove or a high stick, both are no goal. Using your hand invites getting hit with sticks a lot.

NHL brings back a World Cup every four years (right after the Olympics) it’ll just water both of them down.
Look at football, the FIFA World Cup is sacred and prestige tournament because it’s every four years, and they’re never changing that.
Hockey already has the perfect setup. Olympics for the big international stage, Stanley Cup for the club stage.
No need to force another World Cup into the mix.

Speaking of overlooked: the Ducks have won just two fewer games than the Avs and Stars. They just haven't lost as much in OT (which is inflating points all across the league). But being just two wins behind teams that are considered "unstoppable" should raise some eyebrows (and smiles from Ducks fans)
I'm happy to see the NHL finally catching up the Salary Cap to the early 2000's Detroit Red Wings.
