Why would anyone want to play in Toronto? It's a toxic atmosphere with a fan base that feels entitled to win but shows no warmth or charm. I was a Leaf fan in the 1960s. They never won anything but the fan base stuck with them and didn't get nasty like they are these days with all the vicious attacks on players and staff.

He's so done with these primadonnas and I don't blame him. The fact that he didn't speak to them after the game speaks volumes. Berube deserves better.
Chief was wrong about a couple things. He was insisting that Domi play C, Riley is given boat loads of ice time when he plays terribly, and Nylander can do whatever he wants and never get benched.
Ultimately, the players are at fault… useless bunch and no loyalty.

Doesn't give me any pleasure to say that, but he's gone. Core mafia led by Matthews can't tolerate a coach, that requires work ethic, discipline and accountability.

What kind of trades and picks can we get for Mo 44, AM 34 and Willy 88. It was never Babcock, Keefe or Berube fault. These guys got spoiled by massive contracts without proving they deserved them. Now these kids can just check out, go through the motions and never break out a sweat that would ruin their posterboy hair. I bet they don't even have to shower after the game.. Time for coach to give them some time watching from the press box.

I am starting to get a little concerned here. Just starting. If, and it looks more and more like when, the Leafs finish 5 or worse than the Bruins will have to wait a year before having their first pick. Getting nervous here. They are bad enough to do it. Come on Toronto. You can make it 6th or even 7th from the bottom.
