Everyone already accepted this season as a lost season before it even began. I personally never did and still think they will sneak into the WC2 spot. That being said, this team needs to get rid of these washed up vets, accept them as losses, and throw these young guys into the NHL. They need to develope. They need to get chemistry together. They need to play together as a team with the long term players, not these has beens and 4th liners.
This team is very frustrating to watch. Our defense is terrible. If we sure going to lose get rid of the players hurting us and develop our draft picks.

Warso scratched Klingberg and then put him right back on PP1 as if scratching him would send him a message and improve his play. 🙄. He’s 33, he is who he is.

You were the first I heard to float the idea of a conditioning stint and possible move to the WJC for Misa. I thought and still do that this would be the best move for the Sharks and Misa.
I will always think that the NCAA was the better path for Misa's development as it has been his physical maturity that has held him back the most. Whether he is smart enough or can keep the pace of the NHL (and I still have questions about that), Misa is just not physically ready.
He is 18 and looks it on the ice where he gets muscled way too much. But I am sure GMMG allowed him to make that choice and that is the reality of it now.
The OHL is a no go for me (like everyone else) and the path moving foward you laid out makes the most sense. I think as he matures physically he will get better but that is something that cannot be rushed. If Misa takes the Eklund/Smith path of working his but off all season and hits it in the offseason like Graf has, next season we may see him start to move towards his potential.
With how he has looked this season, I believe it is incumbent upon GMMG and the Sharks to resign or extend Wennberg to allow Misa to grow into his role as 2C. Which, in my eyes will not be this season, but most likely next season.
Just bench him for the rest of the season
GM's arent going to waive an a NHL defense core because they made a mistake, players and agents always take note on a general managers behavior. Grier being a former player can probably elaborate more on this topic. It sucks that he's stuck with Klingberg, Leddy and to the lesser extent Iorio, it was a buy low risk move on Klingberg and Leddy. The young guys will get their time, Grier and the Sharks have a plan and its working well so far.
1st question. Klingberg; would you say he's more like Nicolas Lindstrom or Ray Bourque?
2nd question. Klingberg; Great defenseman? or Greatest defensemen?
Misa is a bust. So happy the isles got Schafer, a generational talent. I couldn’t imagine being stuck with a bust like misa.
