Vancouver, with Toronto a close 2nd, has quickly replaced Buffalo as the worse run team in the NHL.
Alex Lyon, right now, is Buffalo's best goalie. They would be nuts to trade him. The trust in UPL, game in and game out, just isn't there. He needs a fresh start somewhere else.

It may make sense for Oilers but it makes NO sense for Sabres. Trading UPL makes sense he's 4.7 aav and trading him and Power frees up$$ to resign Tuch. Jarmo said "lot of hockey left 🏒".
Owen Power has made about ZERO progress. He may develop over time, but it's painful to watch for sure. Soft as cream cheese. Perhaps Tampa can develop him with Hedman there to assist. Power loses most borad battles and he has ZERO physicality… And I mean that sincerely. Super nice guy but that's where it ends. And that contract is 8 million +
They won’t get Lyon. They can get UPL though.
