  1. They will be better when they dump Matthews and Nylander. They F’d up big time stripping the C from John. Matthews was a marketing captain not a real captain. Cut your losses let’s get some new younger players that are hungry and wanna play and let’s get rid of this recycled trash that can’t do anything. It’s been 10 years and we have seen nothing from these two that taken us anywhere. It’s like watching the liberals govern in Canada. Do not lose Berube he is not the problem

  2. exit domi..domi s father..reily.old man tavares..mexi matty .kneelander..all three goaltenders..carlo= a better 1&2lineup..a good defenceman & a reliable focused 🥅 tender🙏✌️🫂🤜🤛🕊️

  3. As frustrating as it is to see these guys struggle like this and not make much progress in the playoffs, I feel like I'll ride or die with this team in general. Not just the Leafs organization, but Matthews, Nylander and Tavares (probably now Knies as well and hopefully Woll and Hildeby). Sounds nuts in some ways, but I'd rather let the rebuild happen once these guys retire as that's more natural. Would love to see what it's like with full support to these guys. I really think that it hurt them losing Marner, but not as much on the ice in scoring, but the fact that someone kinda quit on them as a leader. You can see these guys are depressed. I don't think they've abandoned the coach so much as abandoned themselves. That's much worse. Some fresh faces could help. I think Treliving could aim for a 2RW or 2C. Get Nylander permanently up on the top unit and move Tavares to the wing. Forsberg comes to mind. McTavish comes to mind. Maybe even kick tires on someone like Shane Wright or Kiefer Sherwood or maybe Boeser. I don't know the actual answer there, but I feel like they need a bit more balanced talent up front on that second line and Matthews could use a regular talent on his wing. The bottom 6 has looked good and has shown leadership and identity. No problem there other than to use some of them for a package in a trade. Robertson, Domi, Jarnkrok, Macelli all come to mind there. In everyone's ideal world the Leafs would get a true #1 D man. I don't think it's possible as they just don't have those pieces in their organization without giving up way too much on their current roster which would just be sideways. So maybe a decent pairing where there's a certain leader there. I like that Eckman-Larsson has stepped up to be the D leader and Tanev is also great at that on the ice, but would be great if they had another minute muncher that's out there to battle. Rielly isn't really that guy. He can skate, but I think a lot of the time lacks confidence from shift to shift. That's ok. He's human. Just doesn't seem like the assertive top guy that they need. I think they're really missing someone like Pacioretty. Really missing that guy. They had so many hard games last year and he went out and hit hard, got to the net, tipped pucks, won puck battles….he was a leader that they needed and I think they're really badly missing someone like that. I like McMann, but if Anaheim called up and said there was a McMann+ for Kreider, I'm probably listening. If for some reason Washington is calling to shed Tom Wilson, definitely listening and curious what that cost looks like. Who knows? I think it's a little more than tinkering, but it's certainly not a rebuild moment here. Hope they can start showing more energy, but more than anything more confidence in who they are and push that on the other team as much as possible starting tonight.

  4. Even if you don't feel like it, even if you don't believe it, the burden of leadership is accepting personal responsibility for the failings of the team. I love papi, and I think he does a lot of great things, but he HAS to step up into this leadership role and take charge. This is how you become a Sittler, a Clark, a Sundin

  5. Start sitting some of these passengers..maybe it will wake them up..idc who it is Matthew's, Nylander ,Reilly McMann etc they need to realize that the season is slipping away and its time to dig in
