Devils are screwed with this, basically hard to trade them without spending more and loosing on the deal why wouldn’t we use a buyout when we could.

Yall live in a fantasy land. In order to to trade Dougie or Palat both have 10 team NMC Fitzy would have to include huge sweetners to trade either which those draft pick would of been needed to trade for Quinn. They jist need to wait until he's a free agent…
I think Quinn would be better for us 2 years from now than right now, when, bc of bad drafting by fitz and the devils, you had to blow the team up to get him (imagine we had Rossi and Buium instead of Cotter and Silayev?), and also it would be interfering with Luke’s development as a top D-man. However, the catch was, if you wanted to lock up the 3 brothers at all, it was now or never for NJ. I think it’s clear that that ship has sailed now.
Hughes will be in New Jersey Devil once his contract expires at the end of the 2027 season I believe
