🏒 #nhl #nhlnews #nhlrumors #nhlrumours #nhltraderumours #nhltrades #nhlupdates #hockeynews #hockeytalk #hockey

Everything channeled through Hughes. With him gone the team is more balanced.
They started winning because they got their star goalie back and they finally have a good centerman. As well as Hoglander came back, flying, and Ohgren and Buium came in with lots of attack. Then remive the dark cloud that was hanging over them. They all got a shot of energy from that
That's asking way too much.
I would prefer the Canucks tank. We could draft Gavin McKenna or Ivar Stenberg to strengthen the forward core. The defensive core is looking ok. We could consider Tynan Lawrence or Ethan Belchetz but they need high draft picks.
For 1st they could ask Boston for the Toronto 1st. If Utah is knocking, their draft pick could be high too.
I would go after a prospect if the picks aren’t good. Can we get Luchanko? A bit older but St Louis has a lot of injuries can we get Jimmy Snuggerud?
Did you hear about the proposed Buffalo trade? Sherwood, Garland, and Hoglander for Owen Power and Jack Quinn (would prefer Zach Benson or Helenius -better upside)
When I brought this up to my dad, he said "Well yeah, when you trade your best player it sends a message to the team that says everyones job is on the line"
wwinning 4 in ROW AFTER HUGHES IS A great thing A COUPLE MORE MOVES AND CANUCKS ARE DEEP IN PLAY OFFS OPEN YOUR EYES MAN.
Pressure's off, don't worry about winning guys, just go out there and have fun. Win, Win, Win, Win, 🤔hmmm
It's been clear that Quinn wasn't happy here, and when your team Captain is not happy, that's going to tank morale for the entire team. When a team's morale is in the gutter, they'll massively underachieve. That's just human nature. What I'm seeing these past 4 games is What we've all known this team is CAPABLE of, had they not had the mix of injuries and that 1 or 2 guys who just REALLY don't want to be here. The guys who are here now, seem to be having fun, want to be here, want to prove themselves and that they belong here, and are full time NHL players.
If that's not enough by the end of the season, we'll see them naturally end up in the bottom 5 and scoring a lottery pick. If they don't finish down there, that means the team was always too good for a lottery pick and we've got a hot core of talented young players and good veterans to mentor them into the NHL, and that means a team that's on the rise and doesn't need to tank to get a pick to "get better by getting rid of all their talent." That's what Buffalo did and where's that gotten them?
So guys, put an end to this "Team Tank" stupidity and let the chips fall where they may. The team will finish where it finishes, based on the quality of the team and its leadership. If what we've seen in the past week is an indication of what they're capable of, they'll surge and move up the standings and continue up the standings again next year. If they're bad, they'll remain bottom 5 by the end of the year and get a top pick to help them with their rebuild/retool. No point in stressing over it or demanding the team squander all talent it has because they had a couple of unhappy players.
Do the Canucks need picks?
Keep all these great players and Gel them together.

The offense isn't Hughescentric anymore. They have a more balanced attack.
