Bill I agree with you 99% of the time but honestly it’s not Scott Laughton fault for who the Leafs gave up for him for crying out loud. Be mad at Brad T for who he gave up but again it’s not Scott’s fault. I am sure Scott would have preferred to stay in Philly as much as you wish he did. He was Alternate Captain I believe and probably got way more ice time than he does now. I don’t hear anyone calling him a Rock Star besides you. Don’t give yourself heart attack worrying about what’s already been done. Not worth it bud!
Tavares is one goal behind Jarome Iginla (32)and Sebastian Aho (32 ) and 2 goals behind Mario Lemieux (33) and Eric Staal ( 33) in the all time empty net goals. He's in 10th place right now. Only making an effort for an empty net goal speaks volumes about his character.
bro you have to get over the Laughton hate. He played good tonight, 66% on the faceoff. We have a top 5 pk and he is a big reason. He's a 4th line C but he's a good 4th line C.
I agree with Bill's assessment of Laughton, nice guy I'm sure but we gave up way too much for him, he's a fourth line dime a dozen type player, good for maximum 10-15 goals…a first rounder and 22 year sparkplug Grebenkin??? Treliving got fleeced.
Man o man, this laughton guy is taking up a lot of oxygen. Like I said before, I'm not a fan of the guy but I have seen him try. Just not interested in kicking a guy who, in the overall scheme of things is a very small piece. If you really want to lay the boots to someone, give it to the moron who brought him in, or how about matthews, Nylander and Reilly, you know, the guys who fleece the team and fans for their paycheck and treat each game like its a figure skating contest. Bill I agree with u on most things tbh. But Laughton the was pretty solid tn. Had a lot of breakups on the PK which were huge for the boys. Still tho a pretty penny to get him unfortunately but he does bring some nastiness to the team.
I don’t disagree with you Bill that we gave up way to much in the Laughton trade but that’s on Treliving, you need guys like Laughton on your team he offers a lot not just points guys like him are measured for how they help your team win.
