Winning and developing depth. I love it!
Happy New Year to you podcasters and thank you for the visibility you have brought to the Sharks' sharp rise in development. Most fans thought it would take years to get this far, and by the end of 2026, the Sharks could be seen as closer to contender status. It is now very hard to earn a job on the Sharks roster and nobody on it wants to slip up because so many wait their turn at glory on the ice. As the world turns I still wonder how a world wide conflict with Russia will affect the Sharks in 2026 because they have so many Russian players now. It is just but still sad that Russian teams are excluded from championships and the Olympics hockey tournament. Russian politics could overtake the success of the Sharks and set them back three steps.
Sharks are definitely learning to win. Even when Celebrini uncharateristically throws a pizza up the middle leading to the Wild tying goal, Macklin makes up for it and comes through with the GWG in the shootout. Also, nice to see another full house at the Tank. Let’s Go Sharks! Happy New Year to all!
