The Sabres last game against Dallas was very likely their best complete game that I've seen over the last decade plus, which is even more crazy when you consider them going down 0-1 just seconds into the game. They have the pieces and the depth with both forwards and defenseman, but the x-factor in my opinion will be the goaltending. UPL has had a very inconsistent career and Lyon is now injured, so we shall see. One player who stands out to me every game but doesn't get much credit is Malenstyn, who I think has really solidified the bottom 6, specifically that 4th line. Benson and Doan also have my attention just about every single time they are on the ice, so much potential in those two. The Sabres are still the 3rd youngest team in the NHL, too.
