Why wouldn't Detroit wait and sign Trouba in the off season? Anaheim has a lot of RFA's to extend, so most likely Trouba, who is from Detroit, hits the open market. I can't see Robertson getting traded. Trading Robertson is akin to waving the white flag and conceding they have no chance to beat Colorado in the playoffs. Dallas is already over the cap. How does subtracting Robertson's $7.5 million and adding the over $20 million in cap space taken up by Rust, Karlsson and Rakell work? I think Rust and Rakell are mush different players if they aren't playing with Crosby.
