We are playing terribly yes but refs have been awful missing way to many calls for us and call every ticky tacky thing against us. Im in georgia and only watch games on TV so the guy on the broadcast might be swaying my opinion a little aka brain Hayward. Speaking of how did he seem more upset and ready to jack up some flyers player than our guys on the ice. Our young guys needs to start bucking up alot more they dont go in for hit nearly enough this is hockey you need to be ready to take guys out and even get taken out but they seem very soft at the moment. Especially leo he looks so timid I thought we drafted size for this exact reason. This season hurts way more cause of what they showed in the beginning of the season they looked ready to take a step like what is this i wish we just sucked from the get go. And Philly fans just showing why they are the worst fan base in all the major sports and why cutter was right to want to get the hell out of there. I dont mind Zegras scoring (twice), I dont mind the boo's from the crowd, I dont mind the physicality on the ice and I dont mind the loss, even though its 7 in a row now.
What I do mind is the way we lose, the cheap shots instead of commiting to actually trying to get a big hit. I do also mind the two-tiered refeereing (most obvious the no-call on Zellweger, and interference call on Leo), but then yet again it's the Ducks. I also don't like that nesty was waived but if it's the start of a trade, so be it. Next meeting between these clubs will be interesting, especially if Deslauriers is back as well.

As you can imagine, there was a lot of hype on the Flyer's end, and for all of its 'trash', the game didn't disappoint Philly fans. This orange-on-orange rivalry has now become kind of a thing and I'm sure that most of us can't wait for the re-match in March… Don't have any ill-will towards Cutter personally and totally get that he didn't want to play under Torts, but the 'hate' directed at him by Philly fans does give the games some spice. For hits and slashes to the head, a 10-game suspension in 2017, a 6-game BAN in 2016, and a 3-game suspension in 2015.
All of that was within the 5 years he was with the flyers. Dude slashes people to head every season and has only gotten suspended for it once. How on EARTH is him throwing TWO fully cocked elbows at Cates not a bigger deal to anyone? Elbow pads are as hard as a helmet, dude went for a kidney shot first (thinnest padding on the torso and players obviously know that) than dives with an even harder elbow and goes for the BACK OF HIS HEAD.

The longest loss streak last year was 4 games I think. I’m honestly starting to wonder if this team is a fraud. Yeah because it’s 7 in row but also the way we lose and the penalties are just…it’s the only thing that’s 90% controllable and they just choose to do it. Q should bench the top 4 offenders besides Johnston and call some kids up, send a message. It’s unsustainable when you have damn near the worst pk in the league and 4th most penalties. If they hit one more crossbar I’m going to punch something.
