As a person planning to renew my QSTs for the coming year, it will be done with the following conditions:
1. There will be no "tank". There cannot be a sell off of our best players. No Helle going elsewhere. No KC or Scheif being traded.
2. There needs to be reinforcements sent at earliest possible time. This includes prospects languishing on the Moose while players currently on Jets roster who are not fulfilling their roles are sent packing, as well as trading for assets.
3. I go to enough games to understand that losses sometimes happen. BUT when I bought my most recent QSTs, the Jets were in 1st place in the entire NHL and they remained in that place the entire last season. That was because of buy in of the team last year. Something changed when it went to this year and that needs to be rooted out. I accept a good effort but in a case like last night? Our guys never had possession of the puck in the 2nd half of the game. That is self inflicted and it has to change.
ARNIEL HAS TO GO.
WHY DOES NOBODY SEE THIS.
I really want a Top 3 Draft Pick. That means I'm OK suffering. I feel bad for the players and the coaches, not they're all big boys who can live through a bad season.
(How does Phyllis have a comment 5 hours back on a video posted 22 minutes ago? The internet works in mysterious ways..)
It’s very simple…still no 2C & RD1, weak 3rd pairing D, below avg backup, vets who have been introduced to father time with zero prospects banging on the door and little to no valued assets to help speed up a re-tool.
They gotta pick top 3 to fix second line. And trade for more speed and puckhog on line 3
I see the older guys not getting better this year – or next year. Only slower and less productive. Start the shuffle now – get the young guns some experience. They are quicker and will be more tenacious on the forecheck. That’s what the Jets need. Bring up Salommonson and Bauer. Chiby and Ford and Yeager. Be active at the trade deadline.
Loyalty ends at 32 (place).
Fire Arniel bring back Bones, lol
Arniel and Chevy please relocate
with coach and management they have now sure do feel sorry for any draft pick joining the club
Jets are done. Not making the playoffs. Toast.
This season had featured pressure, among Canadian NHL teams, on the:
– Canucks, Sens and Habs to make some noise in the postseason although among those teams, I see only the last two as still having a realistic shot of qualifying for said postseason
– Oilers, Jets and Leafs to go on deep playoff runs although at this point, of those three teams, I see the Oilers and Leafs still having realistic shots of qualifying for this postseason (the Oilers, in a top-3 divisional spot, in the strongest position of the three teams I mentioned earlier in this bullet point)
The Calgary Flames, having not qualified for postseason play since 2022, and having two seasons ago tanked, surprisingly came close last season to qualifying for postseason play. Although the outcome of their current season remains still very much TBD, players on the Flames still have something to play for.
It's not the same team. Ehlers was a key part of this team. I meanwhile know that his creativity was the second line. His speed and intelligent play made Vladi and Perfetti valuable players who gained 38 and 50 points respectively. It is shocking to see what these guys achieve without him. And a very dangerous weapon of the Jets was the PP. No one is able to substitute Ehlers in that role – I desperately miss his play-making abilities. The biggest mistake was, that no one in the organization realized how good he was. He even got less ice-time than Appleton. It was a huge mistake to let him go. The team now pays the price. Chevy should try to bring Mangiapane to Winnipeg, maybe this will give them a boost.
The answer is simple… get rid of the Porn Staches. When you look like a dick you play like a dick. Also it’s clear that with everyone getting nice big fat contracts there is no incentive anymore.
Take the first overall and smile.
Sooo… Team Stenberg?
