    The Wild are so far behind Colorado and so far ahead of the first wild card team that they are probably finding it pretty hard to play every game with max intensity. Almost no matter what they're in the playoffs and almost no matter what they'll be playing Dallas in the first round, so there's not a lot at stake in these games for them. It feels like Dallas is going through something similar right now.

    The Wild need to change their goal song more than anyone in the league. It’s an outdated song that really doesn’t get the crowd fired up like songs in the past. My recommendation would be the guitar chorus for Pantera Domination.

    This was such a bizarr-o game for the Devils:
    – Devils have been on a backwards slide for past few weeks. Locker room energy destroyed.
    – Hughesbowl against the 2nd best team in league, that GM Fitzgerald lost out on Quinn to. Fitting for him to wreck us. Projected blowout.
    – 1-0 Us. Devils have horrible record with scoring first goal.
    – Hamilton, who was scratched after poor offensive play all season, who's been on trading block, and who people were upset got in over Nemec, has excellent game.
    – Palat, one of the worst league contracts, also on the trading block, has excellent game.
    – The line of Palat-Hischier-Mercer, ridiculed when announced, produces most of the scoring for the team.
    – Bratt scoring multiple goals (he's been snake-bitten lately)
    – Markstrom plays a great game, .908 sv%
    – Lively, buzzing, exciting play (lacking this energy lately)
    – Net crashing (haven't been doing all season)
    – All on the second half of a Back-to-back (Devils have notoriously horrible B2B record)

    Upside-Down stuff.
