Toc, you're a Flyers legend. This stint does not change that, nor does it define your coaching career. I had the same complaints under Torts. Briere is not giving you the resources you need to succeed. It's a political nightmare I'm sure. But I'm pulling for you, 22. Hang in there. Like I commented on your introductory press conference, the ownership needs to step up. The more we lose, the more those stands stay empty. Winning puts butts in seats.

You cannot play without a goaltender. Again. Year 27 in a row. That's it. Plan and simple. You can't play perfect. Errson took this season down. But not his fault. He has a career 848 save percentage. He is what he is. Vldar has been admirable, but not a number one. It's a shame because this team plays hard. Never a big save. Never a momentum swing. Ever. These guys will make mistakes, it's hockey. But you can't win with any system or play the right way when you give up six soft goals a night.
it's time to look forward to another lottery pick….evaluate your personnel and make hard decisions ahead of the trade deadline. We have to be sellers and look to make the team better. It's up to Danny and Jonesy to continue to make this team better….by getting rid of bad contracts to the extent possible; keep the young guys with upside and trade veterans. We are sadly still years away.

Goaltenders are only a small portion of the problem. Coots Tipp, Tk Meech… all severely underachieving..
This isnt just one issue.. this isnt a playoff team.

Egads. Danny needs to step up. He's made some good trades, but he's ignoring the elephant in the room. Our goaltending is abysmal and we still don't have a #1 center. Fire the goaltending coach NOW (way overdue). This team is a complete shit-show right now. I pin a lot of it on Couturier, to be honest. A leader is supposed to lead, the best lead by example. I think he has 5 goals in 46 games. That's not going to get it done.
This losing streak ends their chance for the playoffs. They would be swept or win 1 game. Keep rebuilding. Ersson is leaky. Kolosov too deep in the net and plays small.

Lets start with taking the captaincy away from Couturier he has done zilch as a captain plus he is lazy. He only wins face offs when needed. Flyers need leadership. Id take Sanheim or Konecney as captain over Couts. Claude G had to go and so does Couts. You have to win puck battles and do the dirty work and too many error passes. No one takes the body anymore or stack the blue line all the defensemen back in while the opposing teams puck handler skates in unchecked. On the PP Flyers pass the puck around 20xs before even getting a shot off. You are basically killing off your own PP by passing the puck forever. It will never go in if you dont shoot and there will be no rebounds if you dont shoot. And as for goaltending,,,,,,,,although I like Vladar. thats for another day. Fundamentals guys come on!
Its cool that these dudes are friends, cool with each other but when it comes to performing that doesn't mean shit……we've had 6 years to practice the power play………what!
Gee what a shock? They play the New York Rangers who have ABSOLUTELY SUCKED all year long and we go down 6-1 at home before getting back two meaningless goals just like we did last game to Pittsburgh.
They don't have a good team even when they miraculously where up 10 games over 500 about 9 to 10 days ago.
Tampa EXPOSED this circus and they have not recovered since. Actually it started when they blew the 2-1 game to Toronto at home and tried to sit on a 1-0 lead which simply is not the way to win in the NHL.
This is as bad as we've seen this team play in the last 20 years.

We have no 1C, no 1D. Our goaltending is a mess right now. Our captain is useless. The coach hates our most important player. Taco has a pattern of not getting along w Russian players. Shabanov was rumored to be coming here until we signed Taco, then he chose the Islanders. Michkov will be gone by the end of next season, Zavagrin will not be coming here to play for Taco. This organization is a joke.
TK no movement clause he's not going anywhere. He's gonna be here forever
