Nice to see the division scoreboard go Detroit’s way for a change.
It’d be real nice if they can take advantage of the out of town scoreboard.

Morning hot takes after staying up super late going to the Pistons game last night:
– The Western Conference is a fraud. 1-16 playoff seeding would have 2/3 Eastern Conference teams and only 1/3 Western. And that ignores the fact that the majority games for Western Conference teams are against the other weaker teams in their own conference.
– An interesting thing I learned about the PWHL is that their playoffs allow the teams with the strongest record to select their opponents. Pretty interesting added strategy point! So the Avs could pick any of the next 15 teams. Then the Lightning would pick from the remaining 13, etc. until all of the matchups were set. I think this would be cool in the NHL – the teams with the best records could try to strategically pick an opponent based on getting a tough opponent out of the way early, or a team they have a good record against, or shortened travel distances.
No hockey tonight.
Hopefully things go as well as they did yesterday. Obviously the team has to do their part but a little separation would be comforting
