Why didn't San Jose make a play for Hughes?
Whatever they would have to give up for Josi would not be worth it. See where the draft takes them. There's still time here. If they fall out of a playoff spot? Winthe draft lottery?
There is some really good offensive defenseman in this year's draft. Keaton Verhoeff, Chase Reid, Ryan Lin, Daxon Rudolph, Carson Carels could be a name worth looking at.
Don't sacrifice the future for a guy who is in his 30s
