I mean I feel bad for him for missing the Olympics, but a long break will be the best thing for him and the Wild. Hopefully he can just take some time to recover and come back fresh in March.
Hynes has done a decent job with his 3rd D pairing, when and how much to play them. I think we will be okay defensively.
I really hope we can have the Brodin/Spurgeon second pair healthy for the playoffs, but Middleton elevates his play when paired with Spurgeon, so we can survive some regular season without Jimmy
Not at all or very little.
Middleton is serviceable in a top 4 role, especially with Spurgeon. I’m disappointed but not worried
We are missing our whole 2nd line.
😑
They still have Hughes, Faber, Spurgeon, and Middleton. They’ll be fine.
Especially considering the minutes Faber and Hughes can put up, our defensive lines will be able to manage missing Brodin. To me the biggest concern is the penalty kill, especially when it’s Spurgeon or Faber who goes in the box.
I’m guessing/hoping Brodin took himself out of the Olympics to get healthy- in which case I’m not worried at all.
Get completely better over the Brods. We need you for the final season stretch. Can we stop with the Jiricek experiment. Even Lou called him out the other night.
nothing to worry about,
Hoping he can get back to play for the postseason because we badly need him hes a huge part of this team’s defense and chemistry
I also feel bad for the man not only that he’s injured but will be missing the chance of a lifetime
I thought Jiri looked OK last night against Leafs. Hunt has been doing OK. Jimmy is out for a while, Bogo is still out, time to give the prospects some decent ice time and we should see them improve.
Not worried but this is why I’d sadly be ok if he was a piece in a trade to get a good center
After this game do we change our minds? Faber was gassed and Huges couldn’t make up the difference. The D left Wally out to dry more than a few times.
