Les vraies statistiques de Marner, pas les 120 points

Je ne me suis jamais vraiment présenté quand cela comptait et je me suis toujours plaint de tout

  1. lol man he’s a good player and arguing otherwise makes you look like a wiener. We’re worse without him — playoff stats don’t matter if you don’t get to the postseason and his absence makes that a real possibility

  2. TripleCrownVillainy

And I hate when other fans say “well what about games 1-4?”

I’m like bitch, we didn’t pay Marner $11m to play just games 1-4, and then for him to coast the other 3 games. Such a pathetic excuse

Dude had 1 goal in 10 years during games 5, 6, and 7 of a playoff series. Has 0 goals 6 assists in 16 GAMES where the Leafs could’ve won a playoff series. He was fucking horrendous during the playoffs
    – and for anyone doubting this. Please. Rewatch those games. See how Marner played. It was soft, weak, and borderline embarrassing. He just couldn’t get anything right when we needed him the most.

When people point to Matthews production in those games I always thought it was because Mitch when ghost mode. You spend 82 games playing a certain way and then in crunch time it just dried up. Matthews never had the puck on his stick in order to generate offence, it was Mitch lugging the mail.

You could see Matthews in the 4 Nations final, he was arguably the best player on the ice in that game.

  4. Crime-raider-poopy42

This is beyond sad, you sound like his ex

  5. CANUSA130

Playoff hockey is played on your ass the moment your stick touches the puck. There is no time for intricate play making and the game is called like pond hockey. Marner can not play his game and can not adapt as some other skill players can.

  6. LongjumpingDiver8773

It’s getting so hard to stick up for this fanbase man. Just the saddest most delusional shit every day.

  7. xmonk73

Why exclude 2017 and 2018? Might as well show all his playoff appearances to get the full picture. Not even like those years make his numbers that much better.

  8. Sideshift1427

Now list the goaltenders that the Leafs were playing against.

  9. Mikey_M39

His game in the playoffs dips because the competition gets better meaning less time and space and better defense is played. The bar is McDavid and McKinnon and he’s never going to be that guy.

He’s a top 10 forward in the regular season and top 30 in the playoffs. That’s the gap.

Ill also say Nylanders numbers are lower because he took his leap later in his career and Matthews is lower because his shot of death has been missing in at least two runs if I remember correctly.

All and all leafs mismanagement shares a lot of blame here too.

  10. Current-Routine-2628

He knew he was going to Vegas, he knew he wasn’t going to resign in Toronto and he still refused to remove his no trade clause so Toronto could get Rantanen .. so the city he “loved” could get something for him leaving. That would have been a class move, and Marner would have been respected by the city, and the fans forever.

    BUT

That’s what makes Marner a cunty little bitch, and thats why he’ll be booed forever by fans.

  11. Dubsified

This stat line is really all that matters.

  12. ilyalyubushkin46

Those 120 pts really help secure a spot in the playoffs. Just can’t count on him when you get there.

  13. Prestigious_Fee_2902

This is what I keep telling people. Marner is an absolutely elite player in the regular season, and playoffs game 1-4. Then when we need him the most he disappears. That’s why we had to move on from him. He has had several years and playoff runs to redeem himself, and he didn’t.

  14. Key_Travel9620

Why do we care… can we just focus on our team

  15. Tiny_Ticket_2946

Do the first 3 games not matter? Can you win a series just winning games 5,6,7?

  16. TheDeek

0 goals and 6 assists in these games is absolutely wild for a player of his ability. It really is a thing.

  17. Virtual-Health-6969

Ya totally deserves random dunkards going to his house and tossing trash on his lawn /s

  18. nuleaph

Can someone post McDavid game 5 6 7 stats lol

  19. yycpapa

So I decided to look harder as this seemed disingenuous tbh. Why 5-6-7?, why only 2019 onwards?

Looking at all the elimination games in his career brought me to a stat line of 24 games, 2 goals, 14 assists. 2 points every 3 games or double the number represented in the picture.

However, that does leave 46 non elimination games and 11 goals, 36 assists. So yes, he wasn’t as productive in elimination games, but no, it wasn’t as bad as that makes it look.

  21. CalebosO4

We called him “early-series” Marner for a reason

  22. Sheep4732

Nylander dogging it then getting cherrypick goals and getting lit up while marner grinding against top lines

  23. Rabbidextrious

Such a pointless shit post. One thing Toronto is amazing at is being terrible fans

  24. SIGNANDSELFIEFRAMES

Basically, Nylander is the only one who close to showed up.

  25. jdragon3

Dont forget 6 Penalty minutes in those 18 games

  26. ThePhatEskimo

All bums. If you’re not at least a point per game player in clutch games then it’s time to start the rebuild.

  27. Himera71

That’s what I’ll always remember. The crushing disappointments.
