That west coast swing is gonna be brutal with those 10pm starts, but at least we’re rolling right now

Grits and Glass need extensions yesterday

    3 in a row!

I fell asleep at the first intermission. Judging from the reactions here, I’m not going to go back and watch.

I guess the copium take is that devils have won 5 of the last 6 and are 16-7 against the west. Road wins are good no matter how they come.

Wins feel good and we’re getting more of those lately.

Feels good to get the W. The org is gonna have to figure out some ninja moves to make this Markstrom extension not sink us, but it is what it is. Hope he has a good next game or it’s Jake.

Every time I see marky play I always shake my head and think to myself what the actual fuck was fitzy thinking trading for this guy.  Especially trading what we gave up to get him. Then i get filled with rage when i think that he signed him for 2 more years at 6 mil a year.  But besides that it’s great to get the win 3 in a row and 5 of the last 6 is a good stretch of hockey.  We finally had an offensive breakout last night. Overall in this stretch we’ve been playing great structure defensively which is great to see not including last night.  I’ve been a jack critic this year especially since the injury.  But last night was the first time in a while he didn’t lose a puck and his shot looks like it’s close to coming back he’s starting to get strength back in that hand.  Get this last game against Seattle go home and take care of business.  With how bad of a stretch we went through to look at the standings and be 27-22-2 is crazy and to see we’re 3 out of met3 and 4 from wc2 is crazy.  Keep stacking points if we’re going to lose a game find anyway possible to get it to ot and get the point.

Edit: also can’t help but think back to the first game against Washington where Bratt got hammered by ovi and he was down for a little and slow to get up.  He hasn’t been the same since then.  He’s probably playing through injury this season.  Not making an excuse for him.

I don’t discredit Markstrom on the 3 on 1 SHG. I don’t like the fact that the other 3 goals were saucy rebounds. Maybe a little credit on the Buium goal but nonetheless, he’s gotta do better with his rebound control.

they say Lenni is Finnish but I think he’s just getting started

I’m so glad I stayed up to watch. I’m East Coast.

That said, YOU GOTTA BE ABLE TO PUT THE PUCK IN THE EMPTY NET OVER THE COURSE OF 3 MINUTES

I’m sick and tired of markstrom, glass line was unbelievable last night 🔥🔥

Luke Glendening out helps a lot. Next up should be Paul Cotter, who is one of the worst defensive forwards ever.

Told my daughtewr I was shutting the game off if Devs are up by 3 goals. They should win, but if they choke, I won’t be miserable watching it. Glad that worked out.

  15. Markstrom has awful rebound control. He’s making it very hard to win games without the help of the posts.

Fun game to watch. Not a particularly great showing, but a win is a win.

I see a lot of Markstrom discourse. I was at the game and will say he looked uncomfortable to the eye. I was nervous every time the Canucks were in their offensive zone. The team play in front of him didn’t help either. I will say I feel like the fans jump on him more than Allen when he has stinkers. Allen allowed 3 or 4? Against Pitt and the Jets as well and the Jets game in particular is a game they should have gotten at least a point out of. I get it, he’s making a lot of money and is now on the team for 2 more years and it has been a tumultuous season to say the least. He has trended better since the 9-0 and I believe had a decent stretch of games before the 9 goal game as well. We can only hope he shows us more of the type of games he recently played against Calgary and Seattle as this season continues because we know he’s going to get a lot of starts.
