Kind of wishy washy, as expected

  2. OllieForgot

Nice to address things 3 days after the second murder 🙄But props to Moose as always for speaking

Similar sentiment to how Kelly and Taylor from the Frost responded last night too, although Kelly was visibly emotional. I’m sure he means well here too.

I wonder how Brock is taking it. He’s born and raised in Maple Grove.

I wish he could said more. But it sounds like his heart is the right place. I would not be surprised if wild management is forbidding from lo to be days since they will not even do a moment of silence.

As others have said, wish he could’ve said more but no doubt he’s been told what he can and can’t say.

Boilerplate answer that straddles the line between deflection and acknowledgement which should have been everyone’s expectation. Fortunately what these guys think doesn’t really matter.

I love Moose; ~~~he’s whose sweater I rep whenever repping a sweater is called for. That said, based off following him on socials and comments made, I don’t think him and I would agree on what’s going on in Minnesota and the nation as a whole.~~~

~~Unfortunately, I think he ends up in the white, rich, Christian stereotype, and probably sits on the « right ». Shit non-statements like this one just reenforce, to me, that he is probably ok with what is going on, but doesn’t want to upset anyone or put his paycheck at risk. Definitely one of those moments where I’m not sure I would want to meet the « hero », which sucks because he seems like an awesome guy I’d love to get a beer with otherwise.~~

E: Comment below restored my faith in the guy. I honestly could not be happier about it.

  9. Out of genuine curiosity why do so many players live in mpls? More to do? I would have guessed the opposite.

  10. Literally can’t tell whose side he’s on…but I think we all know.

Honestly think I’m going to be done with watching the Wild for a while, can’t even come out and give a definitive statement about a man murdered by federal officers and the federal government trying to impede any investigation into it.

I interacted with him once at his home (my previous lawn company had contracted with him after the previous owner sold) and he was a nice guy to just chit chat with. Hes hurting im sure, along with the rest of us

Copy-pasting (more or less) something I put in the now-locked /r/hockey thread:

I don’t expect the players (or any specific individuals, really) to make statements. However, before games, the NHL:

    1. Venerates the military
    2. Sings the national anthem

The NHL is absolutely about politics. When people say they don’t want to make it political, they really mean that they don’t want to engage with politics that discomfort them or would negatively implicate them.
