Was at the game last night. There were plenty of times where he had a chance fail or pass intercepted and then his shift ended and I assume the cameras didn’t follow him back to the bench.
But he was visibly pissed. He knows he’s struggling. He’s 100% giving it his all too. Sometimes guys get in funks and then somehow they push through it. Here’s hoping that push through comes soon. Hate seeing him struggle. I’m sure the injury didn’t help
I think fixing the PP will go a long way
Maybe get some linemates with him that don’t blow up any play they touch. Stop trying to pair levshunov with him as well, he is not moving the puck out of the zone efficiently. Then take him off the pp for someone that will either shoot the puck every once in a while or make better passing decisions. Pretty fucking easy changes to make
Maybe he wasn’t ready to come back and bitching about him playing poorly isn’t gonna help shit
He shouldn’t be playing at all right now. Zero reason for him to be out there. We should have waited until he’s no longer vulnerable to the point that it’s effecting the quality of his overall performance. He should be playing without any limitations(like not taking face offs).
I knew this would happen. He also went into a funk last time he came back from injury, why I never understood people hyping him returning pissed about the Canada team snub.
Blackhawks need their best player to play his best hockey. What a concept. Why didn’t anyone think of that before?
